My husband and I decided on Grenada for a March getaway and we struggled to find a place that checked all the boxes. My husband just happened across Villa Kaya while looking on Google Maps and thank God he did. What a find! It was everything we were hoping for. Beautiful view, convenient location, relaxing atmosphere and very clean. We stayed in the Boathouse Villa and it was perfect. It has a small kitchen, an outside area with a BBQ, a large bathroom with double sinks, an outdoor shower and tub (don't worry it is plenty private), a large king side bed and the most incredible deck right off of the bedroom. The deck has a beautiful view of the water and surrounding coastline. My husband and I would often sit out there with a drink and just read. It was so serene. Breakfast is provided and is a wonderful assortment of pastries, deli meats, cheeses, eggs and fruit. They serve from 8:30-10:30. Some days we got ready and went straight to breakfast, other days we went for a long walk on the beach first and still had time for breakfast. Although there are no other meals included, don't worry there is a good restaurant just two doors away and others within walking distance. Further, there is also an IGA grocery store just over a kilometre away. We walked there and purchased some food and snacks. We used the BBQ twice to cook some meals at the suite. Villa Kaya also has an "honesty bar" where you just help yourself to drinks and write down what you took. We would often grab bottles of wine, beer and water to take back to our room to enjoy in the evenings. (Often out on that beautiful deck off of the bedroom). Although this location is waterfront, it is not beachfront. However, the beaches are quite close. BBC beach is less than a 5 minute walk and Grand Anse beach is about a 10 minute walk. Grand Anse beach is a bit more challenging to walk to just because the area's landscape has a lot of hills and to get to Grand Anse you have to traverse one. Not much of a problem if your mobility is good. We went there often. We preferred BBC beach though, not just because it was closer, but also because it was calmer waters than Grand Anse. Grande Anse's waves definitely seemed rougher. Neither beach was ever crowded, in fact it seemed quite the opposite. Even the days the cruise ships come in, the cruisers stay all at the furthest end of the beach and never seem to wander from that area. The weather was a consistent 31 Celsius every day, but a constant warm breeze continuously flows, never making the heat uncomfortable. There is a small infinity pool on the property. We used it a couple of times and there was never anyone else using it. It felt like out own private plunge pool. The staff were wonderful. Agatha put out a wonderful spread each day for breakfast, the cleaning staff checked in with you regularly to see if/when you wanted your room cleaned. And Mia...what can I say. The woman never stops working, but always to ensure you stay is perfect. If
