This hotel is definitely not a 4-star property as it claims to be. The rooms are surely clean and comfortable, but the positives end there. The service is absolutely appalling. I ordered a coffee but they failed to serve it even in one hour despite reminding them twice. Once after taking shower all the water were overflowing through under the door to bedroom. The breakfast was a joke. There was no buffet and there were only two options - Puri sabzi or toast! They didn't even have tea or coffee ready. After a couple of reminders they finally brought coffee. I gulped it down with a toast and hurried off to check out. Opt for this hotel if you get it cheap but don't be under the delusion that you'll get a 4-star experience!

We had a 2-night stay in the hotel in Dec'24. We felt that the experience was below average and could have been better, especially for 1 reason in particular - 1. Buffet Breakfast - I cannot recall when was the last time I had such a bad experience of a buffet breakfast. It felt as if the hotel did not care at all about the breakfast. The restaurant area looked gloomy. The staff looked extremely tired, sleepy and slow. The breakfast spread was limited and nothing great in taste. The entire set-up was dull. 2. Gloomy room - Now this is very much personal. We felt that the vibe of the room given to us was depressing. There was nothing "happy" about the room, just a practical ensemble of stuff that evoked no feeling of joy. Though the entire was spacious, it lacked character. 3. Horrible TV - It seemed like the theme of our trip to Kerala was that wherever we stayed, we had to deal with the worst TVs/remotes. Like the other hotels we stayed in this trip, the TV and the remote In this hotel were simply horrible and outdated. It would be unfair if we only called out the problems without mentioning the Good part about the property - 1. Spacious and practical room 2. General cleanliness 3. Prompt Service - housekeeping 4. Proximity to the airport We think that this is a practical property which might be more suited for corporate travellers.

"An Unbearable Nightmare: Overbooking, Miserable Alternatives, and a Never-Ending Refund Nightmare" My recent encounter with this horrendous hotel has left me utterly infuriated, compelling me to recount the nightmare I endured. Despite diligently making a booking and paying in advance, my excitement morphed into seething frustration when the manager callously dropped the bomb about an unexpected overbooking debacle. Their so-called solution? A pitiful alternative hotel that not only failed to meet expectations but plunged well below any reasonable standard. The room was a sorry excuse for accommodation, lacking basic amenities, and the service was nothing short of a disgrace. It became painfully evident that this establishment was a pit of despair compared to the original booking. As if that wasn't enough, the hotel's continuous stalling tactics exacerbated the situation. Their empty assurances of diligently working on a solution proved to be nothing but a cruel joke, leaving us in perpetual limbo and scrambling to explore alternative options. In the end, we reluctantly opted to cancel our booking, a decision that left us not just in agony but utterly disheartened by the utter lack of professionalism displayed. The ensuing refund process added insult to injury, turning into an excruciating ordeal of endless follow-ups, far more effort and time-consuming than anyone should ever have to endure. To sum it up, my experience with this abysmal hotel was a concoction of overbooking nightmares, a woeful alternative, and an excruciatingly drawn-out battle for a refund. Potential guests beware – this place is a breeding ground for disappointment, and their overbooking antics may very well turn your stay into a regrettable and infuriating ordeal.

"A Disheartening Saga: Overbooking, Subpar Alternatives, and a Tedious Refund Battle" My recent encounter with this hotel has left me utterly disappointed, prompting me to share my experience. After diligently making a booking and paying the required amount in advance, my excitement turned into frustration when, days later, the manager called to inform me of an unexpected overbooking situation. To salvage the situation, they proposed an alternative hotel. Regrettably, the replacement fell far below the standard I had anticipated. The room lacked the usual amenities, the service was subpar, and it was evident that the establishment was not on par with the original booking. What exacerbated the situation was the hotel's continuous time-wasting tactics. They assured us they were diligently working on a solution but failed to provide a clear answer or a resolution. This led to prolonged uncertainty, forcing us to explore other options. Eventually, we reluctantly decided to cancel our booking, a decision that left us not only in agony but also disheartened by the lack of professionalism. The subsequent refund process added insult to injury. Despite multiple follow-ups, obtaining our refund became an arduous task, requiring more effort and time than it reasonably should have. In sum, my experience with this hotel was marred by overbooking issues, an unsatisfactory alternative, and a tedious battle for a refund. I feel compelled to caution potential guests about the risks associated with their overbooking practices and the subsequent inconvenience that might overshadow what should have been a pleasant stay.

Stayed here for one night. Can't emphasize how perfect this stay was. Excellent food, very friendly Staff. The best part - Amazing pricing. We paid to get upgraded to the suite and it was well worth it.

I went to Ambara Suites just a few days ago and I have to say that I was very pleased! The interior design is aesthetically pleasing! My friends and I were pleasantly surprised by the Chef Biju’s specialty mango salad, it was tasty and refreshing. Another favorite was the chicken 65 which was nicely spiced and crispy! I would definitely come back again to try the rest of the menu!

The ambience was excellent. Food delicious. They have a variety of dishes. Pricing also affordable. The staff were very pleasing too. They had roof top, restaurant and an excellent bar. We had the chance to directly talk to the chef to discuss on various dishes they prepare

This is an addendum to my previous review. I am addending my previous review to let you all know how sincere the staff is even after we check out. I had left a few items in the hotel room and realized it only after I came back to the USA. Mr. Biju Thankappan and team could not locate it after their initial search . Mr. Biju personally went through all the lost and found items and he found it!! Anyone looking for a place to stay in Trivandrum, this is the place to go! Thank you Biju, you really go over and beyond to ensure professionalism!
