Stayed one night on business. Staff were really helpful, friendly and made you feel right at home. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Dinner was excellent and plentiful with well looked after beer. Breakfast was amazing. As a lone traveller who spends quite a few nights away from home I could not have aked for more!

Fantastic Sunday Dinner and the home made deserts are to die for. Exclent friendly service, couldn't do enough for us. Have been a number of times and the food is delicious ever time. Well worth a visit, gets busy, so I advise, ring and book a table well before your visit. 😋❤️ Can't wait to go again.

Very clean and comfortable; very attractively decorated and 'continental' breakfast was delicious. Only drawback was a problem with WiFi connection. Charming owners and staff

My husband and I stopped here for just one night, what a little gem of a place. Living just outside London, I had forgotten that pubs like this still existed. We stayed in Room 5 and the bed in there was just the best. I had the best nights sleep in a long while. Breakfast can only be described as 'the breakfast of kings'. Worth every penny, hot tasty and lots of it. Thank you guys for a lovely stay. Sonia & Ian

We arrived at the pub carpark and the dog was sat outside as we approached the pub it came to us we had a small child of 2 yrs being carried and was concerned about the dog as it was following us we went to a table and the dog was still with us still concerned about the dog as it seemed to be gravitating to our child we asked the landlord if it was friendly and he replied which dog we then asked if he sold food and had a rude remark of course he replied we asked if the dog would leave our table and his remark was it lives here and I replied well we are customers and left with the SHEEPDOG circling us. it was not a nice experience for our daughter and child would never go there again have never known such a strange place I have nothing against dogs and it is the old story of dog owners oh no it is friendly tell that to a small child when it is at the same height as you also I don't want to eat dinner with someone else's dog. shame it looked a lovely pub

This property is great from booking in to checking out. Rob and Dean are great hosts. Our room was very clean, the facilities excellent. We even had coffee machine alongside the kettle to make tea and coffee. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows so soft.A very good nights sleep was had by me and my wife. Breakfast was ordered the night before at the bar while having drink from a good choice of beers and ciders along with a large choice of gins. You can eat there if you choose from a good section menu. We both had full English the was an extra on top of the room price but I knew that when I booked. The breakfast was large and piping hot. I would happily stay again in this grade 2 list traditional English pub/bb. Thanks for a great stay Rob and Dean.
