Auberge le Festival Todra Gorge

Unique hotel in an isolated area. You’ll never see anywhere like this. A local family started it with one Bedouin tent to cater for hikers and climbers. It’s since expanded in to a wonderful collection of buildings and caves - all unique and all a wonderful place to stay. Staff very friendly. Good food and when we stayed, they entertained us all with traditional Bedouin music. A real one-off place whose owners have worked hard to create. A wonderful, memorable experience. Would encourage you to go.

You basically sleep in a rock formation in the middle of the mountains. You will be served delicious breakfast and dinner, everything is freshly prepared. The absolute highlight is the dinner: you will have a candle light dinner - only candles in the whole room. After food is served to all guests the hotel crew starts with entertainment: drums, singing and dancing. They are absolutely amazing and you can feel their passion about their culture. The hotel staff, all young locals, run this amazing place together - the hospitality is fantastic.

This is a stunning spot we never would have found on our own (we were booked here as part of our tour with Erg Chigaga Luxury Camp Nick and Bobo's). The canyons are kind of surreal, and beautiful at sunrise and sunset. The staff was great. A few of them are drummers and they played for us (and tried to teach us how to drum - which was hilarious). The food was great. The rooms are very cool, but I'd recommend bringing flashlights because they get a little dark.

We stopped here on our way from Marrakesh to the Sahara. It's obviously a stopover place for hikers, walkers, etc. The room we stayed in was tiny, but it was clean, and the shower was powerful. They serve wine and beer in the main part of the auberge. The main meal in the evening is 150Dh for 3 courses. Breakfast is included and is excellent.

This resort feels like you're living in a castle, even in the cave rooms. You're in the middle of nowhere and it's gorgeous, there's only 7 rooms, the food was outstanding, the grounds were gorgeous. At night, the stars were amazing.

We enjoyed this lovely auberge in the gorge. We also did a short hike from the hotel. The property is unique and it was fun to wander and explore. We stayed in a room attached to the main house - lots of space, very comfortable, so I can't comment on the unique cave or tower rooms. I was disappointed as I thought we had a tower room. However, it was a warm evening an our room had windows for a cross breeze, so I was happy and comfortable in the room we were provided. The dinner and breakfast were very good and we enjoyed the music provided after dinner. The wifi didn't work in the room - but that happened in many hotels we stayed in - not a big deal. I recommend this hotel.

Auberge le festival is a fantastic place to stay. I will continue the review on Auberge later. Firstly some attention for people who are interested in going rock climbing with guide. I want to share the telephone number of Hadi, an experienced guide. We went rock climbing with him and this was fantastic. We are a family of 4, 2 kids (age 5 and 7) and 2 adults, and did not have any experience before. Hadi has all equipment and safety necessary, he is really friendly and helpfull, and patient! Because he does not have a tripadvisor himself up to now, this is probably the best way to connect other interested people with him. So if you are interested, you can contact him at +212 700-701834. To contact him via what's app is no problem (that is what we did). Or maybe you can ask at the hotel to call him. Now for Auberge, all good reviews are worth it as far as we see. Special recommended is the small walking loop around the auberge, cross the road up the hill towards the small goat sheds up the hill. You can ask the staff upon arrival and they can explain further! Rooms are good, food fantastic, views aswell!

Superb accommodation in the middle of the gorge, fantastic surroundings. Beautiful setup, perfect rooms (cave room is stunning). Very friendly staff, warm interactions and spoiling the guests! Fantastic ambiance, definitely recommended !
