I visited during the off season, when Hotel Melissa was one of the few places to stay in the area. There is very little to do or see in Torre Melissa, but the weather was lovely and warm, the beach is beautiful and completely empty. I had a lovely conversation with the local fishermen who were emptying their catch while repairing their nets on the beach in front of the hotel. The hotel, which has one of the only "upscale" restaurants in the area was packed on a Friday night. The food was delicious and fresh, while the service was great and the servers friendly. The town is only a few minutes drive to nearby Torre Ciro' and about 25 minutes from its mountain top sister, Ciro', both of which are pretty and worth the effort.

Hotel Melissa was a one-nighter on an extended road trip through Southern Italy - and definitely worth the stop. It was our 44th wedding anniversary that day, and the Hotel delivered on my request for Red Roses in the room on arrival (which I paid in advance for, of course), but they added an elaborate towel-swan creation on the bed, with a garland of hearts ( which I had not arranged for) making our arrival more special. The beautiful beach was empty…..but the sand was warm, and the water was inviting (I did go in !…brrrrr) The hotel restaurant served an excellent meal (we had arranged half-board) and breakfast was yummy.

We have stayed here several times and it is always a pleasure.. the owners are very involved and the staff is very pleasant and professional. The rooms are very clean and the sea view is beautiful! The food in the dining room is delicious! We will be back!

Cette établissement a eu de meilleurs jours.. ascenseur brisé, déjeuné simple , réceptionniste incapable, pas de serviette de plage, Il faut sortir de l hotel , passer par le parkimg pour avoir accès au restaurant ...Climatiseur sur le bord de lacher...A éviter

Cenato più volte in questo bellissimo locale con vista mare nel corso delle ferie estive. Ci siamo sempre trovati bene. Locale pulito. Personale cortese, anche se non tutto preparato a fornire le risposte alle nostre richieste. Il pesce davvero ottimo. Buono il rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Ottimo hotel con vista-mare, parcheggio e spiaggia privata. La camera che abbiamo avuto era molto spaziosa, ben tenuta e molto pulita. Abbiamo usufruito del servizio di mezza pensione e sinceramente poche volte mi è capitato di trovare una struttura così disponibile a venire incontro alle esigenze del cliente con variazioni sul menù o piatti fatti appositamente senza chiedere sovrapprezzi o altro. Colazione buona, sia salata che dolce, con vasta scelta. Personale molto cortese e gentile oltre che prodigo di suggerimenti e “dritte” per varie località nei dintorni. Sicuramente consigliato.

Siamo stati al ristorante dell'hotel Melissa a cena ad agosto 2023. La location è molto elegante ma il cibo non merita una seconda visita. Abbiamo mangiato un antipasto Melissa veramente senza sapore. Una porzione di cozze, non era per niente buona. Troppo cotte e senza sapore. Spaghetti a vongole con vongole senza nessun sapore e stracotte. Sapevamo solo di olio. Troppo. Gli unici piatti nella media erano la frittura di calamari e gamberi e la grigliata di seppia e tonno. Freschi e cotti bene. Ma il piatto è stato pagato per intero quando avevamo chiesto solo metà del pesce della grigliata. Il vino imbottigliato era buono. Prezzo pagato troppo alto. Esperienza da non ripetere.

Siamo stati a cena al ristorante e ci siamo trovati bene. Cibo buono, e fresco. L antipasto della casa per qualità e prezzo non ci siamo, ma i primi e i secondi ci hanno soddisfatto. Tonno fresco e si scioglieva in bocca. Si mangia in una terrazza vista mare. Prezzo un po sopra alla norma ma nel complesso consigliato
