Garda Sol Spa Hotel & Appartamenti

It was perfect. We stayed 7 days in this hotel and we booked an aparment. The apar**ent has everting what you need for. A big kitchen with an open space living room. From the living room you had a beautiful view of the garda lake and a balcony. The cleaning service was at the top! The pool on the top of the hotel was also great!

Spent 6 nights at hotel on Just Go holiday. Very happy with this hotel. Building is old but has character. Had spacious, clean family room. We were looked after very well by the family and staff. Food is Italian with continental breakfast. Evening meal was fixed entree and dessert with 1st and 2nd course picked from list. First course soup or pasta. Second course meat or fish. Would have liked a few more choices for 1st course but happy overall. Pool area well kept. Would recommend.

The hotel is located in a small village which was a long way from airport. No Tui rep was available at this hotel, no information folder. Staff didn’t speak English. We were completely on our own. Hotel was nothing like the photos on website. Shabby room, outdated furniture, dark, dusty and sad 😞. We booked for balcony but had a ‘terrace’ which was awful. We booked half board which I would say ‘don’t bother’. Breakfast was okay but we had to ask for hot options (eggs mainly). Evening dinner was terrible. The restaurant seemed popular but because we were half board we had a totally different choice to ‘normal’ diners.

I booked a stay at Garda Sol Apart-Hotel and Spa with my family in July. We arrived excited, having seen beautiful pictures of this place and hotel online. Then we arrived at the hotel room, which was, to put it mildly, the worst hotel room I've ever seen. The room had outdated and shabby furniture that was poorly-maintained. The room itself was filthy and did not smell good. We went down to the reception and politely asked the staff for another room because we couldn't imagine staying there. The staff member was unhelpful and unwilling to assist us. We decided to go out to eat and discussed the situation a bit. We returned and tried to make the best out of it. We went to the nearby pool area, which was not that great,a worn-out, old, and uninspiring pool. After much consideration, we decided to speak to the receptionist again and ask for help. We received the same response, they were unwilling to help in any way. Faced with these circumstances, we made the tough decision to leave the hotel and find alternative accommodations. Since then, we have contacted the hotel and the travel company we booked the hotel through. Unfortunately they are unwilling to help at all and claim that the whole thing is our fault. The experience was nothing short of disappointing, and it's unfortunate that such conditions persist. I would definately not recommend staying at this hotel. This had a very bad impact on our trip to Italy.

During my recent visit to Garda Sol Hotel & Spa with my family, I was met with immense disappoin**ent throughout our stay. The hotel's online portrayal painted a serene picture, but the reality was starkly different. From the moment we arrived, the state of disrepair was evident. The hotel seemed outdated and neglected. Our room was shockingly dilapidated, showing no signs of proper upkeep or cleaning. The couch and bed were visibly dirty and worn, and an antiquated and unclean bunk bed added to the unpleasant a**osphere. A strong mold odor pervaded the room, causing both discomfort and health concerns. The lack of cleanliness extended beyond our room, affecting the pool, lobby, and bar areas, which were equally disappointing. Service was another letdown. The downstairs bar remained unstaffed throughout the day, depriving us of basic amenities. Addressing our concerns with the receptionist yielded no positive response; our dissatisfaction was met with indifference and annoyance. Faced with these circumstances, we made the tough decision to leave and find alternative accommodations. Unfortunately, I left behind a newly purchased dress in the wardrobe. When I inquired about it the next day, the receptionist dismissively claimed it was not found, despite our concerns and lost belongings. Despite booking the room for a week, we were refused any form of refund, even a partial one. This disregard for customer satisfaction was disheartening. The area itself had its merits, with its beauty and friendly locals standing out. I recommend exploring this location but strongly caution against choosing Garda Sol Hotel & Spa. The experience was nothing short of disappointing, and it's unfortunate that such conditions persist.

Horrible! Really rum down, not clean and horrible service. Really unattractive hotel! We ended up leaving a few hours after arrival, could not imagine sleeping in the room provided for one night and staff did not want to help at all!

We booked this hotel through tui who neglected to make a booking for us but we will forever be grateful for how helpful the hotel was in this situation. This is a traditional Italian Hotel owned by a lovely family who will help you every way they can with any queries you have. We were half board and found the restaurant excellent with a beautiful lake view, service was first class and every night we got a little appetiser before our meal with an explanation on what it was and where the produce came from, staff in restaurant often stopped to talk (and showed us beautiful photos of rainbows over the lake 😀) rooms were air conditioned although it was very hot outside for beginning of June we found the room cool with the air conditioning off and the balcony doors open. Rooms were large and cleaned every day. This is not a modern soulless hotel it’s traditional and comfy with a personal touch and I couldn’t fault the service we received. Ferry for sightseeing few mins walk and shops bars and restaurants on the door step. We enjoyed sitting outside at the hotel with an Aperol Spritz and watching the world go by. I hope some day to return to Toscolano Maderno and Hotel Garda Sol.

What an amazing gem. Rooms very comfortable. Food amazing. Family run. Everyone there was genuinely so welcoming. Ideal location. Ferry terminal very near by. Love ts if local bars and restaurants. Weather was amazing. If you get chance to stay here do so!!

We have just returned from one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had, the staff were amazing, it is a family run hotel, from Alessandro, Ivan, Maria, Enea nothing was too much trouble, it still amazes me how the lady in the kitchen did all the cooking, the Hotel is spotlessly clean. It is ideally situated right on the edge of the Lake. We think it should be rated much higher than a three star hotel, we will certainly return
