Zel Costa Brava

So had we not had an ant infestation in our room, I would have given this resort a 5/5. Ants we coming out from the tiles behind our bathroom mirror that had not been sealed (we stayed in B25). Because we had little children (3&5) we didn’t want to make a fuss and possibly move rooms so we put up with it. However the rest of the holiday was fab! There was hardly any queuing for the cable car, the meals and no queues for sun beds (plenty to go round)! The pools were lovely and clean, and you could flitter between the beach and the pool in a matter of steps. Cocktails were the same price as where we live (Surrey/SWLondon) so we are used to it (not that it’s a good thing, but it wasn’t shocking to us).

Genuinely one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed! The views were absolutely stunning! We couldn’t have wished for a better holiday! The food was absolutely amazing, both me and my boyfriend were completely blown away with both the variety and quality! We were half board. The room was amazing and completely exceeded our expectations! It was spotlessly clean, the balcony was big and the view overlooked the pool and the sea. The beds were so comfy! The pool was amazing and the indoor spa was always clean and so quiet and most days we had the pool to ourselves. The outdoor pool area was amazing and full of activities and spaces to lounge!! Halfway through our stay wifi was installed which was super fast and we never has an issue with it. The only small thing is that the pools do shut at 7, along with most of the activities! They have a jazz band every evening and although they were amazing, they weren’t to mine and my boyfriends tastes! We just struggled to find things to do after dinner most evenings, however a walk along the resort and card games on the balcony worked just fine! Overall this resort is a hidden gem and is absolutely beautiful! I cannot recommend it enough! We had a package deal with TUI and everything was brilliant from start to finish. Thank you for making our first holiday as a couple a perfect one x

Stunning location between two beaches. Nicely renovated rooms. Long ways between the buildings, pool and beach. Food very disapointing and boring. Way to expensiv. Better eat in Tossa de Mar. Unmotivated staff. Everything is being charged extra. Many groups and only few individual travellers.

An amazing 10 days in Polo Giverola with husband and daughters age 4 and 2. Out room was very clean and the apar**ents are all build into the hillside which makes incredible views. Our daughters loved going up and down in the funicular to the pool and beach. The kids club was great, we didn't leave them as too young but took them along and stayed for the activity. Really lovely staff running it. The trampolines and mini golf outside kids club were great fun too for younger ones. The buffet food was excellent, lots of variety for starters and mains and desserts. Evening entertainment was a bit quiet but we went to a couple of DJ sessions on the beach Would definitely come back

Overall was a good stay because the spot is amazing, quiet and safe. Pro’s: family orientated village, very safe, great garden/pool area, excellent beach with a crystal clear water. Tennis, soccer, pool, billiards, volleyball… I mean they have them all! Apar**ents are still new in perfect condition, fully furnished and good amenities; soap and shampoo are great. Negative’s: staff not “welcoming” orientated. We interactive with few of them, only the lady at sports centre (where you can rent towels) was polite. The waiter at the beach bar, whistle at the restaurant entrance to grab our attention… not even a dog, and he wanted to say us they are a restaurant and not a bar, but on this occasion he could let us stay. I had a mojito, pre batched mix with artificial lemon, for the price of your drinks I would expect quality too. Check in done with no sense of welcome, just robotic explanation with no interaction. We stayed in D20 apar**ent, “sea view”, not worth it, at least on this side of the village, the sea view on the bay would be better; D20 can see the sea only miles and miles away. I doubt. 5 minutes on the phone to try to be in touch with reception, no answer. We tried to call from mobile phone and the reception immediately picked up… this happened twice on our stay. Iron cannot be delivered to the room (we were 5 min from the reception), and if you want to use it, €20 deposit. No towels for the beach, with €155 apar**ent per day, is not great, but can be worse considering they will charge €2.50 for a towel at the beach. Possibly was the period, but the pool area and the beach were infested by flies, you couldn’t stay comfy on the chair and having a nap, because they were everywhere. Last, the flat comes with no cleaning, at least make sure your guests have pan & brush in the flat.

Terrible experience. Management are non existent when you pass reception and get buzzed into the gates so if you have any issues you are on your own. Resort side (ended up booking as the camping log cabin on same resort we booked was not great) similar story, not much open, really difficult feeding a young family. Only option was the buffet in the evening which was inedible. There’s a nice restaurant on the beach which is open 1pm to 5pm. Similar story though, terrible staff, it feels like you are a burden to them. To say they are set up to be a family resort, when I asked if there was a kids menu they looked at me like I had 3 eyes. Please don’t book here! I’m Rooms are super clean though.

Incredible. Beautiful place, worst management and service I’ve ever seen. Even the pool towels they charge you…. Pool only with restriction. All the the staff is very rude. Paid a bunch of money and they give me an attitude. Terrrrrible experience.

Amazing views and food has such a massive choice. Not suitable for anyone that struggles walking in my opinion and those with pushchairs I’d imagine find it hard work. Definitely feel isolated and the information at hotel isn’t great for British guests. We stayed in an apar**ent and it was exceptionally nice. We had issues with internet and WiFi to tv (smart tv’s a bonus) which both got rectified quickly. Staff very good.

A really amazing resort set up in the hills just outside of the resort. A shuttle bus takes you into town and back daily (10 mins). The staff are very friendly and helpful. The free classes by the gym team are fab. The intro to tennis with Albert was hard but fun. He knows his stuff and is really lovely. The sports team classes: salsa, merengue, yoga, Pilates are all fab too. Lots of choice of lovely food both at breakfast and for the evening meal. Drinks prices are reasonable too. The evening entertainment package is none existent at the moment which is a shame as groups of line dancers have rain over the hotel and all the spaces where you can sit. The place is well maintained, clean and both the indoor and outdoor pools are lovely. The shop has all you need for your apar**ent and the apar**ent is well appointed too.
