Ricks City Hotel 2

Nice area close to city centre. Parking nearby in multi-storey very convenient but expensive. No reception but clear instructions for entry to property. Truer is a very nice city well worth a longer visit.

I can truthfully say the only good thing about this hotel is the location. For the rest its a complete disaster! This hotel is very basic the rooms were clean but very cheaply done. When we opened our sons bedroom window it opened to roof space which was absolutely disgusting ( please see photos) Bird excrement everywhere with an old beer bottle with mould growing. This is not hygienic also for breathing. The rooms have no airconditioning and it was stifling hot . I asked the lady if she had any fans but we didn't get a reply. For the amount of money the rooms cost you would think that the rooms would have at least a little fan. We paid for family room and a triple room €298 + € 73.50 for breackfast (5 adults + 2 children) The Breakfast is also nothing to speak about ,very Sp****. I would definitely not recommend this hotel!

I wasn’t overly impressed with this property. Communication was very poor. I sent messages before arriving & once I arrived & never got a reply. Had a very poor sleep the first night as the lights from outside weren’t blocked out by the very sheer curtains. Discovered the 2nd night that there were some external shutters but they weren’t obvious. Internet wasn’t working when arrived. Only got connection the following day. Bed wasn’t very comfortable. Creaked at times when moving. There isn’t a lift so you’ll need to carry your luggage up a few flights of stairs. It is in a great location - easily walk to everything.

Never met the management/owner(s). Only talked briefly on the phone to open the key door, and never again. Bare minimum convenience. Internet could not hold a stream. Decent city location.

vi skulle have overnattet her 2 nætter, men forlod hotellet den 2 nat, idet vi var "ved at omkomme" af varme. Her var ingen aircon. kun en lille propel der overhovedet ikke kunne gøre det ud for lidt kuldetræk. Sengen var MEGET dårlig (blød) så de 2 ting lang sammen gjorde at vi valgte et andet hotel til 2 overnatning. Der var rent og pænt på hotlellet. der var også meget larm fra restauranten nedenfor., så at sove for åbent vindue var ikke en mulighed.

Das Hotel liegt extrem zentral zum Trierer Hauptmarkt. Kneipen und Restaurants direkt vor der Haustür. Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach gehalten, aber wirklich sauber. Es gibt weder Kühlschrank noch Tresor. Das ist aber auch aus der Hotelberschreibung ersichtlich. Wir waren Heilig Abend dort. Zu der Zeit gab es es weder eine besetzte Rezeption noch Frühstücksservice. Auch das wurde im Voraus kommuniziert. Der Schlüssel wurde uns in einem Tresor hinterlegt, den wir mit einem Code öffnen konnten. Wer ein relativ günstiges Hotel im Zentrum von Trier sucht und keine Wellness und sonstigen Schnickschnack erwartet, der ist hier gut aufgehoben. 50 m vom Hotel entfernt befindet sich auch direkt ein Parkhaus. Die Sonntag- und Feiertagspreise mit 3,40 € für 24 Stunden pro Kalendertag sind auch mehr als vertretbar. Wir hatten sogar das Glück den Heilig Abend noch in einer netten Bar direkt neben dem Hotel ausklingen zu lassen.
