Der Linslerhof - Hotel, Restaurant, Events & Natur

I start by explaining why this place is not 4 star before mentioning the good points. Entering the address in two navigation systems took us to places several kilometers from the hotel, frustrating. When we found the place there was no signage for the parking areas. At reception there is a sign saying there will only be someone on duty until 6pm, if you arrive later check your email. We arrived at 5.30pm and there was a second sign saying we are taking a break so wait until we return. Not 4 star standard. By walking around we found the receptionist after a few minutes. No warm welcome. We were checked in and pointed in the direction of the room. We went for dinner in the restaurant, which is in a different building, again no warm welcome. Service was efficient, food and wine quite good, but the staff spent time moving things around to prepare for something happening the next day. The good points. Th room was very spacious, quiet, clean, comfortable and well equipped including fridge and tea/coffee making equipment. The grounds are very pleasant, spacious, tranquil and well manicured. There are horses and birds of prey kept in the grounds which were interesting to see. There are several buildings, which mainly look like converted farm buildings, nicely done, well kept, and the main hotel building is nicely decorated. Breakfast is buffet style and was quite good and the staff on duty were more welcoming.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön, tolles Ambiente. Das Restaurant - na ja. Ich war dort zu einer Weihnachtsfeier eingeladen. Essen im Restaurant, anschließend Übernachtung im Hotel. Nachdem der Gastgeber einen jungen Herrn, der uns ca.15. Minuten beobachtete, an den Tisch heranwinkte und die Frage stellte: "Entschuldigung arbeiten Sie hier", km der Service langsam in Gang, des Essen war soweit gut. Dann wurden wir gegen 22:30 darauf hingewiesen, dass das Restaurant bald schließen wollte. Eine Weihnachtsfeier, Dauer: sportliche drei Stunden. Wir konnten dann noch ein bisschen Zeit rausschlagen - aber ...
