Very dishonest of the management to claim this is a 5 star hotel. Missing bedsheets, torn bedsheets, dirty bedsheets, windows that don’t shut, bathroom fan without a grille that let insects into the room, toilets that don’t flush, breakfast coffee served from a kettle with instant sachets, toast machine that was defective and they expected you to reach into it with metal tongs (for goodness sake just buy a new one!). Food was fine but not 5 star, staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel manager needs step back and think about what it takes to run a 5 star hotel. His staff don’t need more training (his usual response to poor reviews)…he needs to go visit a real 5 star hotel, learn from it, show proper leadership and drag the hotel up from 3.5 stars to 5 stars. On our tour of India we stayed at 10 hotels, including some real 5 star, and this was by far the worst. Our tour group of 28 had multiple similar issues and our tour guide insisted that the hotel staff visited all our rooms to correct the problems. One of our tour group was even met with a welcome “surprise” floating in their toilet. Awful.
