The service at this hotel was very good. We were not happy with our rooms but they went out of their way to accommodate us. The groups and setting within the palace are beautiful and the food at breakfast was fresh. They were happy to make anything on request. We didn't use the pool facilities but it looked welcoming.

I stayed as a solo traveler from October 3rd through October 11th. Deepak and the rest of the staff were excellent and attended to every question and request without hesitation and were extremely helpful. The accommodations were beautiful. I basically felt like I was a royal living in a palace, which it actually was, as the hotel is on the City Palace grounds. The architecture of the room and the balcony reflected the heritage but had all the modern amenities. And the hotel is walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Old City Udaipur. I'm Indian-American and I was very proud of of my heritage as the team at the hotel lived up to India's worldwide reputation of great hospitality.

The location of the hotel wowed us. Set atop the hill and in the palace grounds of Srinivasa Arvin Singh Ji the ambience allows you to imagine the days of the Maharanas. The food at the restaurant Paantya was spectacular the service of Pratap Singh and his attention to all our dietary needs was so kind and helped us enjoy our meals thoroughly

Shiv Niwas Palace is a must visit heritage property if you want to experience authencity of Udaipur. Our lake view room provided a unforgettable view of sunset over lake Pichola. Staff is very friendly and always ready to help. We had a great dinner in their restaurant, thanks to Mr. Dhruva Sarkar. And Mr. Sohanlal took great care of us at the breakfast, and without him, we would have missed visiting the bar. We will love to be back in Udaipur, and Shiv Niwas Palace.

Well we enjoyed palki khana restraunt. Dal bhaati tasted yummy. Bhupendra singh talks and explains delightfully. Overall hospitality is great. Must try dal baati after roaming around in beautiful city palace. Bon appetite Thank you

It has been an amazing experience. The royalty and heritage never disappoints. The staff is very generous and welcoming that was the best part for our stay. We totally appreciate their hospitality and management services. Thankyou so much for the wonderful memories we are taking *****.

Had visited city palace and a cafeteria situated at palace. Palace and cafeteria both are Wonderful palaces. Had a cappuccino there and it was good as well as service specially Sandipan Mandal Ji and other staff was very polite and helpful.

Visited the shiv nivas palace’s panthya for my parents anniversary! And what spectacular ambience and great food! Mr pratap singh provided with great service. The ambience makes you want to never leave. The decor is royalty!! Would surely recommend.

Shiv Nivas is a beautiful place and staff are very friendly and specially the breakfast staff Lalu Ram . However the rooms are a let down ,definitely need updating,the fridge and the fan makes a racket at night and bathroom is so outdated. Beds could be a bit more comfortable.
