The Turtley Corn Mill

We stopped overnight on a Sunday to break a long journey. The overwhelming impression was of welcome and friendliness. Our room was very comfortable and the owners have clearly put a lot of thought into providing everything you could possibly need, including those holy grail items - good bathroom lighting and plenty of mirrors. When we arrived the bedside lights were lit and the radio was on low - very welcoming. The restaurant had a good few other customers on a Sunday night so had a nice a**osphere, the menu had plenty of options and the food was good. Breakfast was truly excellent - one of the best I've had in a while. Every member of staff we met was, without exception, charming and helpful - it mut be a nice place to work as well as to visit!

Visited for a family celebration and was blown away by the attentive and friendly service. From the minute we walked through the door all the staff could not do enough for us, with prompt and non intrusive service. There's A good selection of drinks and a decent non alcoholic beer on tap for the driver. This was all capped off by fantastic food , lovely presented and lots of local produce. Outstanding

Great location and convenient for visiting the south hams and Dar**oor - the food was amazing and the service second to none

We were lucky enough to stay in the Luxury Lodges at The Turtley Corn Mill. They are amazing, just 2 of them hidden away, overlooking the lake. So peaceful and we were visited by the peacocks who looked as if they were just checking out who was visiting. We had a delicious dinner loads of choice and then a full cooked breakfast this morning. From the friendly welcome, to the food, the service and the a**osphere, it was faultless. We’ll worth a visit

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay, The owners and all the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms are spotlessly clean. This was our second visit, so a different room to last time, but both have amazing attention to detail and the beds are super comfy. The restaurant food is delicious and breakfast is cooked exactly as you want it. I would highly recommend.

We stayed for 3 nights recently and found the rooms, food and staff to be excellent. The room was nice and comfortable with a large rainfall shower. It had a kettle and coffee machine, with nice big mugs and biscuits. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the staff very friendly and attentive, nothing too much trouble. The Breakfast muffin starts your day perfectly! Good base for exploring the surrounding area.

Great stay rubbish weather but good food and comfortable room friendly and helpful staff and the boss was very friendly and knowledgable about the area to visit.

We had a wonderful stay at Turtle Corn Mill. The hotel is in a wonderful location with extensive grounds. The room was fantastic, clean and comfortable. The staff were great and nothing was too much for them to make sure our stay was as good as it could be. The food was fantastic, both for breakfast and in the evening. It was a great base for visiting some stunning locations in the area. It was also great to have electric vehicle charging in site. We could not fault our stay and we will definitely be back for a future holiday.
