We had been to the Gulmohar Grand Hotel two times, and the stay then in 2022 was comfortable, but this time, it was a bad experience. When we booked in April 2024, the room was okay; no TV network was available, and the bathroom had the water leaking; we had to place the doormat to prevent us from falling. The request for an extra bed (we had done the bookings prior and hadpaid an advance for it), had a mattress which had torn cover, it was smelling, and it was placed on the floor without the folding bed! The worst was the bedsheet, which had stains and the quilt with no cover; it was of cheap quality and had grease marks on it. The quality of the food during the dinner was bad. Breakfast had all the things gone cold, and none of the heating was on, and both times, we had to keep calling the staff to give us water or tell them about any other requirement. The hotel bell cart had all its four wheels struggling to come off. The only person who was helpful and worth mentioning was the hotel staff member, Ms Manisha. She has very good communication skills, she is courteous, polite, respectful and she was very sweet to us.
