We stopped for drinks and food in the restaurant. Enjoyed our evening but afterwards realised we were charged more on the Apple pay then the bill - When realised next day had no way to prove as we didn’t have copy of the bill. Should have checked more , tap and go isn’t always beneficial!!!

My daughter and I went for an evening meal. We ordered fish, 45 minutes later still no food though they did delivery the beer which we had already consumed. The table next to us had been waiting over 1 hour without food and went to complain. They got their food but for some reason only ate part of it and left, obviously their night was spoiled. I also complained, the manager came to the table with 2 tiny bottles of sprite assuming thiis was enough to chill my mood. I told him to at least offer something decent and declined the sprite. Nothing else came. Though they were not serving food on time they were on time with all the alcoholic beverages orders in quantity. Another couple waited over half an hour for someone to take their order, they complained but still no one came so they got up and left. Obviously more profit and less work serving beer. When our food arrived, king fish, I have to say it was very good. But the experience was unpleasant, the service and attitude of the manager and staff was unacceptable. I was served with a bill with a hefty service charge. I refused to pay for the service charge. I wouldn’t go back in a hurry after that experience.

The Villa Hotel - Unawatuna compares favorably with its location in the center of the beach, the opportunity to have breakfast on an open shady terrace overlooking the ocean. The hotel building is made in the traditional Sri Lankan style, the doors, windows and cornice are inlaid with wood - a very pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast is modest but sufficient. The hotel staff is attentive and caring. The hotel is not for a relaxing holiday, because the restaurant plays loud rhythmic music from lunch until late in the evening, more suitable for a disco than for dinner. The room on the first floor overlooks the restaurant - it could be a staff room but not a guest room, don't take it.

The strongest side of this hotel are: location,architecture of the bilding, equipment of rooms, level of room service. The weak side : absolutely stupid very loud rave music every day till night. This music doesn't fit this lovely place but I think somebody from personal like it very much. Nobody dance but this music hammering to the brain, like torture.

Lovely room on 3rd floor, big 4 poster bed with mosquito net. The only downside was the constant dogs barking and traffic.Breakfast was lovely. Lovely location for the beach and staff very helpful. Couldn't comment on other food options as we eat elsewhere

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights through *********** where our rooms have been listed with 50 and 60 sqm. The reality was only 20sqm.... The room had no warm water and no safe box. No complemementary water bottle. The bed sheet had holes and the breakfast was called "continental" and very poor. A King Coconut should cost 400 LKR which is 400% of the real price. The hotel offers no parking space despite they know that it's not a good idea to park your car outside on a very narrow public road. There are much better places around ! Never again! The hotel has a new owner and new management. Maybe this is the reason for the inconvenience. We checked out after one night !

Все что понравилось было испорчено громкой музыкой из бара, лаем собак, прыганьем котят по столу . При уборке у нас было украдено 10000 LKR Администрация отеля никак не отреагировала на данный инцидент, хотя были приведены весомые доказательства кражи уборщиком отеля. Поэтому ничего хорошего сказать не можем, кроме местоположения. Сейфов в номерах нет, думаю крадут у всех, не все замечают. Не рекомендую данный отель. Причем когда мы написали отзыв на Booking- в ответ администрация отеля вместо извинений стала опровергать сказанное и нагло лгать о произошедшем- хотя менеджер отеля сам пересчитал деньги, посмотрел чеки и мы никуда не ездили в тот день. Поэтому предостерегаю- в отеле КРАДЕТ УБОРЩИК - не доверяйте ему ключи!!! Это единственное плохое место и событие на Шри Ланке- где мы отдыхали месяц в разных местах и отелях.

Вы можете заказать блюдо по вашему выбору, соусы, уровень остроты. Вы не будете разочарованы, вы будете наслаждаться прекрасным вкусным обедом или ужином на берегу океана под шум прибоя! Очень внимательный персонал прислушается к вашим предпочтениям и будет рад помочь вам в выборе блюда. Шеф повар творит чудеса и удивит вас сочетанием вкусов и ароматов! Поверьте, это не реклама, а рекомендация от всей души! Свежайшие морепродукты, вкуснейшие овощи и фрукты этого прекрасного острова в этом ресторане не оставят вас равнодушными! Если вы в Унаватуне не один вечер, по вашему заказу персонал ресторана найдет и закупит даже самую редкую рыбу! Самое главное, душевное отношение к своим посетителям заставит вас возвращаться сюда снова! Вам всегда будут рады здесь, как своим лучшим друзьям! И еще, здесь довольно быстро готовят и быстро обслуживают, что большая редкость для Шри Ланки!
