Coachman Motel

A great place to stay. The hosts go above and beyond. We would highly recommend this motel to anyone wanting great accommodation in Christchurch, especially given its super close proximity to Canterbury University. The units are a great size and the beds are very comfortable.

Unbelievable place, Really nice and friendly people, Nothing seems to be a problem, Nice big rooms, Good water pressure for showers Reasonable rates, pets by arrangement, quiet, close to supermarket & restaurants Heaps of off street parking, plenty of lighting and safe Central to the city just a short drive to activites Such a nice place This is a motel that you can't make an improvement on perfection I stay in a lot of motels throughout New Zealand and this motel is the best yet Thanks team, I will return soon

We were happy with the room, it was cleand and tidy. We unfortunately left a charger cord in the room we stayed in and didn't realise this until we arrived home. We live 6 hours away from christchurch so we can't just pop back to get it. We called the motel straight away and asked them if they had found our charger which they said that they had. I asked them if they could courier it to us and would pay the shipping costs for them to do so, which they agreed to. It had been 5 days since I had contacted them with no sign of our charger cord and no charges have come off our credit card so they obviously havn't sent it. I e-mailed them instead of calling as there was a bit of a language barrier over the phone the last time I called,so thought it may make the communication easier to understand. It has now been a week with no reply from them. I can't think of a reason why they would want to keep a charger cord that is no good to them. We are very disappointed that they havn't kept to their word. I would urge others to be careful to never leave anything behind.

We had a double bed in a separate room to the lounge and kitchenette which was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and had plenty of blankets. The single bed in the lounge area was also very comfortable. The only criticism we had is the pull out bed from the couch was very uncomfortable to sleep on. The mattress was very worn and the springs were digging in so we slept on pillows. We did let the motelier know this. In saying this the kitchenette was great and while the shower was very strong it was clean. Was very central to the airport and the city.
