Red Earth - Gokarna

Amazing location. Truly close to the nature. It is a little hard to access but that’s what makes it as close to the environment and keeps it pristine. Unique location and experience. Mansur and Divyanshu who manage the place go above and beyond for customer satisfaction and they are extremely knowledgeable 👌🏼

It's unfortunate that there is a lot of hyped reviews about this place. The insta reels make you feel like heaven on earth. A lot of that is far from the truth. Let's first talk about the wonderful things about this place. (1) Location - Just fantastic. (2) Access to the beach - Fantastic (3) Quality of the beach - Clean, Quite, Safe. Staff courtesy - Excellent - The place gets good reviews because the people here manage all the mess very well. If not for Mohan and Joseph, the place will be terrible. Why did they get a very poor review from me: Rooms: Needs better cleaning, the windowsills are full of dust, the mesh is torn, doors don't close properly, there are no guest supplies, We had a small quantity of a terribly smelling body wash and an equally bad shampoo (Only 1/4th bottle - Fortunate) there is no hair dryer. A TV that has no connections (Why have a TV at all) A list of soft drinks etc. and an empty fridge. Air conditioning filters need cleaning and servicing (A musty smell) - Hello Management - you are charging me premium pricing. On the positive side the sheets were clean. Food - This is a disaster. First - Terrible timings - They just can't get the timing right. I was there for 3 days. Not a single day did we get anything on time. Because of poor timing, we decided to eat outside. The chef does seem to get quantities right. People had to wait. This was with the buffet. One afternoon we had ala carte and that was a mess. It was 3 PM by the time we finished lunch. Every guest was fuming in his own way. The quality of the food is mediocre and, in some cases, nowhere close to being good. {I am not using the word terrible} (Best example is coffee - You can't add hot water and Sunrise coffee powder and say its coffee decoction). So much to improve. The less the said the better. The reason behind this - No staff. What a lame reason. Property Upkeep: Not cleaning, sweeping, dusting does not make it eco-friendly in anyway. The restaurant windows need wiping, the fans need dusting and cobwebbing. Gardening is an important task. I was very upset to see that the food waste was thrown in the sea. I only hope that the sewage system is not connected to the sea. I reserve my comments on the spa. Overall I would give a poor rating and definitely not value for money. I would not be visiting the property again. It's quite unlikely that I would be visiting their sister properties due to exorbitant pricing and out of the fear of having a similar experience. I would recommend Red Earth - Gokarna to friends but with a caution to keep expectations really low, Hope to see the place improve and offer hospitality in tune with pricing and guest expectations

Awesome location, far away from city very peaceful and private beach, go here only if you need some private time for yourself, value for money as they provide 2 times food. The staff are very friendly and helped us spotting dolphins, Joseph and Mansoor know how to treat guests well.

To this amazing team of Red Earth, Gokarna. I have travelled alot but never met such kind hospitable environment which made me feel like home. To Mr. Mansur, his every friendly smile and urge to make us comfortable is par excellence. To Joseph and Mohan, you are such young vibrant soul. You taught us how to fish, enjoy in this calm place, showed us bird watching and night trekking. Thank you so much for being so kind to us. To purnima, your masseuse was amazing at her job relaxing us. Your food was also good. Breakfast in particular the health shot you provide shows how particular you are towards your customer's care. To Alpha, Reddy and Bluey, you are the sweetest. May you always stay healthy and happy. Hope to see you soon in coming years. Must recommended for all who require the Much needed break from their lives. A place to apply a full stop.

A place like this will give you peace and good memories not only because of its beautiful location (overlooking the Arabian Sea) but also because of its people. Mr. Mansoor (the person who has brought this beauty) , Joseph (an always smiling person who can make a personal connect in a click) Mohan (the storyteller & naturalist) or the support staff like Aditya are superb. Not to forget Pornima from the spa. The resort is in the midst of nature and a nature walk or a night walk on the beach with Mohan / Joseph is a must. Even the candle light dinner overlooking the vast sea expanse and under the moon light will leave you will good memories. The rooms and food are decent. We will look forward to the next trip.

Great stay. Best beach in Gokarna. Property has a private beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was tasty and homely. Special mention to Mohan for going above and beyond and handling everything to perfection. Great service. Mansoor and Joseph were very helpful and made our stay special. The dogs at the property were very friendly and we enjoyed playing with them. Especially the puppies

We were looking to visit Gokarna and explore the beaches and experience sea food of the Coastal Town. We had planned a trip to Chikmagalur around end Jan 2024 to celebrate my birthday. So we found that on our return trip we should take a detour and visit Gokarna. After seeing the vlogs of Kripal Amanna we selected the Read Earth resort at Honey beach. It was an excellent drive from Chikmagalur to Gokarna passing the holy town of Murudeshwar. We reached the resort in the evening. It was dark and after reaching the Red Earth resort we were greeted by the splashing sound of the ocean. The staffs were extremely helpful and made us comfortable in our room. Next morning we were mesmerised to see the ocean so close and the resort has almost a private beach to your disposal. We were so impressed that we dropped our plan to visit other more famous beaches and spent the complete day in the resort. Food in the resort is good if you’re are a non vegetarian and eat fish. Breakfast spread is reasonable. I must thank Mr. Mansur Ahmed Property Manager who took extra effort to arrange a candle light dinner to celebrate my birthday. It will remain in our memory forever. The property needs a bit of improvement in terms of pest control and maintenance. But overall our stay was excellent.

Our stay was a beautiful experience! Lovely cottages. Private and clean. Lush surrounds. Amazing views. Kitchen and food was glorious. Well stoked and interesting library. The beach and cove was naturally exclusive. Lovely to swim. Shack on the beach. A perfect ice box with chilled beer was organised by the resort. We will return with friends.

Wonderful experience at Red Earth Gokarna Such an awesome setting the place has. I had been to Kabini and knew about the hospitality standard of these folks. Right from the reservation to check out the experience was very pleasant.Awesome
