The hotel is located near the remote village of barsu, and has a great view of snow-capped himalayas right in front. It was empty when we arrived. The front office was locked. Apparently, the hotel was unoccupied. But the sole employee showed up and checked us in. The room (and hotel) was basic. No tv, needless to say, no wifi (but cell coverage was full 5 bars. The initial room we were put up in, had water leakage in the bathroom, keeping the floor wet. More importantly, there was no heating. There is an outlet provided for a portable heater in front of the bed but no heater was installed or available. The temp dips to around 5-6 c at night, and we had to rely on blankets. There was a working water heater. As i mentioned, there was only one employee who was helpful and polite. He acted as front office, room service and cook. For meals, we were limited to what provisions were available in the kitchen pantry - spinach, rajma or potatoes with roti or rice when we were there. Tea and omelettes for breakfast. This may be suitable if you intend to spend very little time at the hotel itself but will find it wanting otherwise.
