The amount of amenities offered was amazing. Besides the standards they have face masks, cream and massage devices. Also the offer free water bottles.

位置超方便，就在宇和島JR站樓上，甚至可以從車站大廳直接穿過去。走到宇和島城也不遠。房間大小一個人住沒問題，前台的準備的備品也很豐富，有提供水和飲品券。早餐1800円我們沒選，就在車站對面的羅森解決了。

位置很好，去宇和島天守，商店步行街，都很近，很方便。不遠處還有個大超市。就是在火車站上面，火車晚上沒有班次，不吵，但是大樓的電機聲音不停，屋裡關了新風系統都不行，睡眠不好的慎入！

My only problem was the food, not really very good or interesting. Everything else was very very good .

This is an older hotel but obviously in a great location next to the train station. We experienced no unpleasant noise from trains and I don’t think there are many later in the evening or early in the morning. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast included in our rate was good. They also extended a welcome drink. The beds were pretty hard, and the bath towels need to be bleached, they were yellowing. I was disappointed when I saw that the rate for the hotel was much lower then what I had booked it for months in advance, so I think we proclaim too much and if I had checked sooner I could have cancelled and re-booked. Uwajima was generally disappointing, very little to do, and everything in the town but restaurants closed by 6. We were even surprised during the daytime how few shops were open in the shopping plaza.

I actually booked this hotel for a night in late March as I was doing a solo trip around Shikoku. I did not end up staying the night, however I thought my experience might benefit some other travelers. Check-in process was fine and the hotel offers a selection of amenities (razors, towels, soaps, water, etc) at the front desk for no extra charge which is nice although pretty standard for a Japanese business hotel. The room itself seemed fine, however there is no cold air conditioning. For some people it's probably not a big issue to not have cold AC - and to be fair the window in my room did open, however with no screen on it. For me I have a very hard time sleeping if it's too hot or humid in my room so this was a bit of an issue. I called the front desk to confirm that it was a HOT air conditioning only, which it was. I've encountered this once before in Japan and usually I'm pretty careful to confirm in advance because in Japan "air conditioning" typically seems to mean heat so it can be a bit tricky. In any case, I also asked about a fan for the room but that did not have that. So instead I took a walk around the area and found another hotel down the road that had a vacancy and cold AC. Again, this is a very specific issue but I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who has trouble sleeping in hot/humid conditions. I grew up in the deep south of the US so I'm certainly used to it I just don't enjoy it on my vacation. If this is not an issue for you then this is a fine and very convenient property.
