Hotel Dei Dragomanni

The Dragomanni is superbly situated just 30m from a jetty on the Grand Canal where a water taxi will drop you. It is an easy 10 min walk to St Marks Squarein one direction, and an even shorter walk to the Accademia bridge in the other direction. The Rialto bridge is a 15-20 min stroll. Just up from the hotel and left over a couple of bridges and you reach Campo san Stefano, one of the most attractive squares in Venice with magnificent buildings and palazzos on all sides. It’s a lovely place for a nightcap at one of several restaurants and cafes, watching the world go by. The front desk staff are absolutely fantastic. They are ever helpful and courteous. We had excellent restaurant recommendations and they will happily make reservations if you wish. Unfortunately my wife had quite a bad fall and was somewhat incapacitated so we had to extend our stay in Venice as she could not fly. The Dragomanni organised a wheelchair, arranged for us to stay an extra night and, being full thereafter, arranged another hotel for us and managed our whole rather complex wheelchair transfer, even sourcing a water taxi with a hydraulic platform for the wheelchair. We can not speak highly enough of all of them, especially Alex, who went away above and beyond during all of our stay. This is how all hotels should be! Take a bow Alex, and all your colleagues. I should also say that the rooms are reasonably spacious- for Venice! They are attractively decorated and furnished and in very good order indeed.

We just completed a wonderful stay at the Hotel Dei Dragomanni. The rooms are large and have a awesome view of the Grand Canal. The location of the hotel is near many of the tourist hotspots but far enough away to remain quiet from the crowds. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I have to give a shoutout to the manager, Mr. Alessandro who had a great sense of humor and who always had wonderful recommendations for restaurants and shopping areas. The entire staff was top notch in their willingness to help make our stay great. We would like to especially thank Mr. Marco (not Polo), Mr. Giovanni, and Ms. Gheta for their hospitality. Amazing location walk from Sta Maria Giglio boat station staff was amazing helped us with luggage through the bridges and lots of stairs lol.. Alex and owner were great.. rooms modern and clean enjoy a wine at night ant hotel bar nothing but amazing

We did 4 city in Italy on our trip and this was our favorite hotel. Very boutique, Staff was amazing - Alex and Thomas in particular 5 stars for them! waking up to the smell of fresh croissant was amazing! if we go back to Venice, we will definitely stay there again

Good location with water access for taxi and very nice, helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Room itself looked nothing like anything on the website though, even the most basic room photos. Grey with nothing on the walls, not even a mirror in the room. Lumpy bed. Nice bathroom though with good shower. We were only staying one night (our flight had been changed by the airline and our previous hotel (Palazzina Grassi) was full). If we’d been staying longer I’d have complained/asked if there was a better room (which I’m sure there must be from the images on the website!) . Everything except the room itself was good, so maybe just be careful which room you book would be my advice .

Superb location central to most things. Lovely hotel and all the guys on the front desk were charming and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Would 100% recommend this hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom light and spacious. Didn’t have the breakfast there tho. Good traditional restaurants nearby.

Fantastic hotel in a wonderful area, close to Academia Bridge. I loved absolutely everything about the hotel. Front reception were top class in every respect. Friendly, welcoming and nothing was a problem to them. The bed has to be the best hotel bed I have ever slept in. Crisp linen each day and the room was spotlessly cleaned each day. I have a good feeling ill be back here.

The hotel was very beautiful. The stairs we a bit rough but there was an elevator to most rooms. So unique. Only issue was no hot water the whole first day but they worked hard to fix it and it was by the 2nd day. Concierge was so helpful and breakfast was delicious

For mum's 75th birthday, in this simply, lovely hotel. Checked in by the warm, pleasant and very helpful concierge Thomas, who provided clear and helpful information when I needed. He is a credit to your establishment. The same too of the night porter who checked us out and took our luggage to water taxi . I will definitely stay again in this chic, clean quiet hotel. I am brand loyal, when Infind something that is good, I stick to it. I Would recommend this hotel to all my friends and associates as I believe they would not be dissapointed with a stay here.
