Hotel Casa Petrarca

I do recommend casa Petrarca. The location could not be better. Everything is so close. Our room was very spacious, we had two great views. One to a small canal, and the other to the street. We had comfy beds, and two chairs from where we could see the gondolas passing by. I got the room I requested Valentina. I was so happy when she reserved that room for us. Casa Petrarca was spotless, very clean. Valentina was a great host, always attentive and friendly. She recommended us places to go and restaurants when we asked about them. Thank you Valentina for a wonderful stay! We will visit again!!

This place is really nice! We opted for a shared bathroom which two rooms sharing but ended up just us using. Staff is really nice and helpful. Location is great so close to everything all walking distance. Room & bathrooms are very clean. Breakfast is moderate but it was more than enough for us. Only reason we give 4 star is just a small hotel and to meet expectations of others. We really enjoyed here!

The location of the hotel is fantastic. 10 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge or St Mark's Square. Although not large, the rooms were clean and well maintained and I doubt you will get big rooms in this type of location. Breakfast was nice and plentiful - eggs, meats, yogurts, croissants, etc. and fantastic coffee. We would definitely stay here again if (when!) we return to Venice and Valentina was the best host. She was really helpful and gave some very good tips of places to go.

We had a great time staying at Hotel Casa Petrarca! The rooms were very nice and we loved the AC! The beds were very comfortable and the room and bathroom were very clean! We were greeted by Valentina - who was very sweet! The breakfast was perfect and the warm croissants - sooo good! Whatever we needed was provided and she and the staff were very helpful with directions and recommendations. We hope to return to Venice and will definitely stay here again!

The hotel was amazing!! So easily located and conventient to everything in Venice. The room was amazing and had plenty of space. We loved it :) Valentina was very attentive and helpful with our needs, we would stay here again!

Hotel Casa Petrarca was a quaint hotel tucked away from the busy streets, in the heart of San Marco. The location is great, but the hostess can't be beat. She took great care to accommodate us, answer our questions, and provide actually useful recommendations. She took great interest in making sure we were always taken care of. I would stay here again and highly recommend Casa Petrarca.

This was our fifth visit to this lovely little Bed and Breakfast a short walk from the Rialto waterbus stop and an even shorter walk from St. Mark's Square. It is an ideal location from which to explore Venice . There are 7 rooms that are all different configurations and prices. We always choose to stay in the largest double room that overlooks a small canal. The delightful host Valentina is multi-lingual so whatever your nationality you can be sure of a warm welcome that you can understand. The owner does not live in, but if you arrive 'out of hours' Valentina will ensure that you can easily gain access to your room. We love staying here but if you're coming for the first time you need to understand that each of the rooms are different in their outlook and configuration.

The room we rented didn't match what was in the confirmation document from Booking. While the papers featured a nice-looking room, what we got was a tiny cell of a room with discussing linoleum floor and a sink next to the bed. It was absolutely atrocious and no one in their right mind should pay a market fee for accommodation like this. When I confronted the receptionist, they said the image in the document doesn't represent the room and the room in the photo is more expensive and is already taken. I asked for another room that didn't look like a medieval prison cell and got charged an additional fee, which is fine. While waiting for the room to be ready, another manager called and told me that in 12 years no one complained about their accommodation, then proceeded to mock me by making impressions. I hung up the phone. Shortly after the receptionist told us they are kicking us out and literally showed us the door. This is the worst hotel experience I've ever had. False advertising, terrible room, arrogance, rudeness verging on assault.

Excellent small cosy pensione 5 mins from St Mark's Square in a quiet location. Warm hospitality and nice rooms. Their suite is gorgeous in particular! The staff go out of their way to make you confortable. Italy at its best! The breakfast room is very sweet.
