Hotel was nice, but dated. The place does not have an elevator and my wife is somewhat handicapped and cannot climb stairs. We had to change rooms when we checked in due to not having an elevator she was not able to go downstairs to the pool, the restaurant or even the grounds below.

This a hidden gem. Beautiful ocean view, walkable beach and great food in dining room. Wifi wasn't working in room very well, but there are plenty of chairs and tables outside.Would definitely stay there again!

The stay, here is amazing. The restaurant food is excellent…the view of the ocean here amazing. This is become an amazing stay.

The Cliffhouse is a stand alone hotel with an excellent restaurant. We love the privacy the location provides. We also love that there is nothing nearby except beautiful homes on the ocean. The extra large window in room number 11 is fantastic. We also like that there is a front door and back, which makes it super convenient to park right next to the room. It is also nice to be able to have both doors open for a cross breeze! The pool is beautiful with plenty of lounges, tables and chairs to relax and enjoy the view. The view is gorgeous! There is a nice assortment of local birds! They are very tame and provide plenty of entertainment. We saw dolphins, seals and pelicans. The palms are home to Egrets and doves and lots of smaller song birds. You can hear the waves crashing during the night even with the windows closed. This is by far our favorite hotel and restaurant in the area.

Very nice - on the beach and an ocean view! Quaint room. Beach access was a bit of a challenge but wasn’t a problem really.

The view is unbeatable. Staff is very friendly. Continental breakfast was sub par at best. The facilities are a little tired. Dinner options were impressive. Overall, good experience.

Check in was quick and easy and the views were amazing. The full cooked to order breakfast was very nice. The cons were The faux wood floor in the room was dirty couldn't walk barefoot in the room. Bed was worn out and the shower curtain didn't fit the stall letting all the cold air in while showering. Not saying I wouldn't stay again but they could definitely make some improvements.

nicely situated between Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Ojai, and its location on the ocean edge is quite special. Great site for beachcombing too. Make sure you know your freeway entrances and exits because not the same depending on which way you travel to the site.

The view is incredible. The rooms are nice and clean. My husband and I have stayed here many times and we always enjoy having dinner at The Shoals.
