Travelers Beach Inn

Room was unsafe and unsanitary. Service is terrible, too. Please do not book a room here! During the check in process, the receptionist went to great lengths not to touch anything used by guests. He asked for my credit card and held it with a wet tissue. Same with the pen that I used to sign the invoice. This is ironic, considering how dirty the motel is. The room key that I was provided with did not work, so I went back to the receptionist and told him about it. He put on one purple surgical glove, took the key from me, and went to the room. He too, couldn't unlock the door. He muttered something, and then KICKED the door open. The furniture was in poor condition. The armchair had stains and holes and airconditioning reeked of cigarette smoke. There was no safety latch on the door, and the peep hole was plugged with tissue. I did not feel safe staying in that motel because someone could easily barge into the room at night. I immediately checked out and sought a refund though Trip.com, but the motel rejected my request. 10/10 do not recommend booking a room at this motel.

This place should not be listed on trip.com period! The woman at the counter was in pajamas, she was not courteous at all, in fact she was rude and very unprofessional. The room was very very dirty, it had holes on the wall in the bathroom. the shower curtain was held up by a dirty towel cuz the shower curtain rod was too short....The bed blanket had dirty whit human secretion white stains on it and it smelled really bad + the towels were old and looked like a piece of rag. WIFI did not work properly as the router was inside the registration room behind the counter which was too far from my room. I ended up having to spend the night in my car in front of the room that I had paid for because I did not want to get sick and she refused to refund my money after I saw the room. It is an embarrassment for trip.com to list places like that, shame!

We checked in around 9pm, the lady at the front desk was hard to understand(non English). We got our key and when we get to the door, its old, really old. Im worried what the room would look like. It matched the door. Paint peeling off the walls, rust on hinges, stains on walls, lamp shades, mold in the bathroom and cockroaches!! I was afraid to sleep and it smelled like cigarettes in a non smoking room. I almost cut my loses and left. I called the front office on my cell because the phone in the room was not working including half the outlets. I complained about the smell, she hung up on me. Dont stay here, its gross!! I know i never will again.

I really liked staying at the Travelers Beach Inn the night before the Ventura Marathon. I believe this hotel is a hidden treasure and I felt super comfortable there. It was clean and tidy. Everything was nicely arranged. The location is really handy. The staff were super friendly and welcomed me warmly. I highly recommend travelers check out this hidden gem in Downtown Ventura.

To be fair, for the price you really can’t ask for more. The room was clean, didn’t smell at all, and was able to be maintained at a comfortable temperature. The bed was “okay” and the sheets and comforter were comfortable and clean. That said, pretty much everything was broken and old. But I can look beyond that if the room is clean. It was also in a stellar downtown location. The parking lot was well-lit all night. The check in lady was a little odd. I couldn’t understand a word she said, (I’m thinking I’ll be thankful for that), and the process took a while but was accurate. Again, really can’t complain other than the condition of the property, but the price is in line with that.

Friendly staff, wonder service. Convenient walking distance to all the shopping, restaurant's and beaches.

This hotel was in an excellent area, within walking distance of the boardwalk, shopping, and dining opportunities. Although a bit run-down, the hotel staff were friendly and efficient. The beds were very comfortable. This hotel was a great value!

Most incredibly slow check in I have ever experienced. Ahhh! De cockroaches De cockroaches. The lady at the front desk was nice enough, but seemingly quite inefficient. She kept disappearing to somewhere in the back. At one point 7 peoplewaiting in-line

This hotel is misleading you with pictures. I am traveling with my mom she is 84. Not a picky person just over observant. I now think that there is very minimal hygiene. The pool condition is poor. The room had roaches. Honestly I was too exhausted to be bothered or move with my family. I was treated poorly and given no wi fi password. You will be asked for $20 cash for a room key deposit. No one available in office twice when I went to retrieve wi fi. How is this place still alive?
