As others have mentioned, the hotel is undergoing renovations and things look a bit sloppy outside with equipment and litter. Inside the second floor is being worked on, third floor complete - so request a third floor room as they are very nice and new. Also request a room on backside of hotel as the busy highway is quite noisy throughout the night. They have noise machines in the rooms facing the highway so it is obviously a concern. The usual breakfast although we ate next to stacks of drywall. Would stay here again and most likely give it five stars after renovation is complete.

We are very pleased with out stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Vernal Utah. We have one of the King Suites and it is a wonderful room. The room is split with a half wall making it a living room (Couch Two comfortable chairs, a coffee table, and a separate table that works well as an eat in table) and a bedroom (bed, 2 side tables, desk, cabinet with TV) There is a small kitchen type set with a cabinet, microwave, refrigerator which will actually freeze ice, coffee pot and a small sink. The bathroom is spacious with a nice shower... It would make a lovely place for a long term rental! They have a very extensive breakfast spread including my favorite, the cinnamon rolls. The staff is very helpful and friendly. And of course the best part is that it is convenient to access Dinosaur National Monument. The price is reasonable for the location and for the accoutrements in the room. I do recommend.

Convenient location the road is a little noisy, the staff was welcoming breakfast was nice and clean and super friendly for such an early morning! Rooms were clean could use a little better attention from housekeeping when they come to clean durning the day, pool is ICE cold!!! It’s like stepping in to one of these lakes around vernal, it’s not very clean as well.

Very disheartening to see staff in the middle of the day smoking and drink right next to the door I walk in and out of, and the grounds of the hotel are gross.not to mention the foul language the staff was blurting out while in the halls working!

This is a medium-sized hotel at the outskirts of Vernal. On the positive side, it is clean, the rooms have multiple outlets, good Wifi. Less positive, the hotel is next to the highway so you can hear every truck passing by, rooms have thin walls (can hear snoring from the adjacent room), and they refuse to make your bed if you leave any item on it (in my case, a shirt) (see photo). Over the past 2 years I have visited all manner of hotels across 4 continents; I always leave my sleeping accoutrements on the bed. Some hotels did not clean rooms during Covid. In those that did, not a single one had has the staff who would refuse to make the bed because of the T-shirt on it. Finally, HI went with the late trend of dispensing with the small toilet bottles; now everything is in large, awkwar-to-use dispensers in the walls. Not everything is a step for the better.

Our crew loved staying at this Holiday Inn! Not only was there great breakfast and fresh baked cookies every day, but the general manager JR and his staff went above and beyond to help us in any way … whether that was help with printing documents, or always having a friendly attitude and laugh anytime one of us had to ask for a new room card because we accidentally put it next to our phone or left it in our room… again and again lol. Very great people on staff here, highly recommend!

Great Hotel, super friendly associates and beautiful spacious rooms and clean comfortable beds. Swimming pool was great too and heated. The breakfast was very good and flavorful and well stocked with a super friendly staff who made sure we were getting everything we needed.

The hotel is very clean and the staff is wonderful. I would have rated it a 5 if not for the noise I endured every night. It sounded like wild horses running in the space above my room and it didn't stop until after 10 pm. Made it difficult to work & rest.
