The charm of Vernazza is mellow and serene. The staff sent very good instructions on how to find the hotel from the train station. The also let you know there are 6 very long flights of stairs to get to the hotel. The staff were kind enough to meet me downstairs and bring up my bag. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Very much like the laid back vibe of cinque Tere. Right outside the hotel the sea is there, and loads of restaurants and shops. The room was very beachy and nicely decorated. No TV or kettle. Like most seaside area it’s really for sleeping. They did have a great air conditioner. Great bed and big bathroom (private) with a good shower. The staff are not there all night and the hotel has about 8 rooms over two floors. No views from the rooms. They have rooms with shared bathroom, which was right next to mine. The walls are a bit thin so you can hear if people are talking loudly. Lots of stairs. A good workout for those who can walk up a lot of steps. Cinque Tere is like that everywhere. Nice experience here!

Hotel Albergo Barbara is a cute, quaint hotel on the square overlooking the bay in Vernazza. After a walk up 5 flights, including a spiral staircase that seems to go on forever, you’ll be treated to the nicest host and cleanest accommodations! It’s very small, however it’s better than the pictures could describe, and plenty of AC! We were out for the day and the housekeeper made our room impeccable. They even retrieved a luggage rack and placed my luggage on it without asking. It’s a small, place, but you’ll be glad you stayed.

Easy walk downhill from the train station to a hotel that is right on the edge of the water. Our room had a view that looked out to the beach area and the piazza below. Had very little interaction with the owners but they were friendly and helpful. Bathroom was very small and there were no cups in the room. There was quite a bit of noise from the piazza at night but we were there in March and it was chilly so people didn't stay around long, I think in the summer months this could be a problem if you are a light sleeper. When we came back to room the first night it was a struggle to get up the stairs because it was totally dark inside, we didn't find the light switch until daylight the next morning.

The place was in front of the sea, which was ideal. The hosts were very kind and welcoming, prepared to help. The rooms overall were rather simplistic and nice. Be mindful that the bathroom is not in the room, but that is not too much of an issue. It should be importantly noted however that the mattress was very uncomfortable: we could feel the wires, it was jumpy so wherever someone moved in the bed, so did you and hurt both our backs. The air conditioner also made a lot of noise. All in all, we barely slept...

Si j'avais pu j'aurais mis 3,5. L'accueil est très bien. Si vous pouvez avoir une chambre avec vue mer n'hésitez pas, c'est le grand atout de cet établissement. Les chambres sont correctes et très propres, certaines un peu petites. Les salles de bains sont soit privatives mais en dehors de la chambre, soit à partager entre deux chambres. Notre salle de bain était vraiment petite et mal éclairée, c'était un peu compliqué de prendre une douche quand on fait 1m80 et 95kg. Si la vue n'est pas votre priorité il y a probablement beaucoup mieux ailleurs en terme de confort.

Petit chambre dans le toit, petite salle de bain et petite douche mais tout est très propre. Le réceptionniste est très serviable et donne de bons conseils. La situation, sur la petite place de Vernazza en bord de mer, est évidemment le point fort. Possibilités de prendre le petit déjeuner juste en bas de l'hôtel

Se vi è già capitato di vedere il film Luca della Pixar, noterete che le facciate dei palazzi sono molto simili a quella di questo caratteristico albergo. È posizionato in una zona centralissima e con una vista mozzafiato sul porticciolo che vale tutto il costo del pernottamento. All’imbrunire, quando le persone sono salite dalla spiaggia, dei bambini giocavano a palla (proprio come nel film) e dalla nostra camera potevamo udire le loro voci.

Jolie petite chambre avec vue sur le petit port de Vernazza, nous disposions d’une petite salle de pain privée située sur le pallier. La chambre était propre et le personnel plutôt sympa et disponible. Pas de petit déjeuner sur place, petit hôtel correct pour passer une nuit au cœur du magnifique village de Vernazza, et pour visiter les cinq terres!

Ottima struttura nella piazza principale di Vernazza, a 100 metri dal mare. Prezzo ottimo per gli standard della zona. Camera piccola ma accogliente e molto pulita, con condizionatore funzionante. Il bagno, anche se molto piccolo, è funzionale e ha tutto (phon compreso). Nell’area comune c’è una macchina del caffè gratuita per tutti gli ospiti molto comoda. Il personale è davvero molto disponibile e sempre pronto a fare una piacevole chiacchierata. Consiglio!!
