Unfortunately we had a major challenge during our stay at Sandman, Vernon. We called ahead to book an accessible room for my father who has significant mobility challenges. We were assured that he was booked into an accessible room and that the hotel was fully wheelchair/walker accessible. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the hotel was not accessible and they do not have accessible rooms. My father was booked in a room on the 2nd floor with no elevators or accessible ramps. The staff did their best to fix the problem and moved him to a room on the first floor that did not require stairs, however the room itself was not accessible (no shower/toilet bars, accessible toilet seats, ramps etc.). We luckily found a medical supply place and installed for the visit a raised toilet seat, along with securing his walker so he could get up and down. The overall stay was okay, the staff was friendly, having Denny's attached was convenient, but we would never have stayed had it not been on the website and confirmed by reservations.

I would like to express how happy i was with my recent stay for work with Yellowstone Traffic and Safety, Was at this location for 5 days and had an amazingly pleasant experience with both the facilities and the staff involved within the property, especially Charlie from housekeeping, she went out of her way to make me laugh and did an astoundingly good job cleaning my room and making my stay feel like home. The front desk agents are easily approachable and were accommodating with helping me get tea when i ran out and i am thankful for their help! Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Needed a place to live, was accommodated in a heroic fashion!!😍. Fabulous staff and amenities, right in the nick of time!! Especially manager Khaled Ali who strove to meet all my expectations in a most timely manner!! Thanks to all!

We had a family wedding in Vernon, BC. Began trying to book rooms. Reservation Desk found us one at The Sandman Hotel and Suites, Vernon. Expensive yes...but we accepted that as part of a tourist trap community. Checked our reservation...we had been charged in USD. Canadians, booking a Canadian Hotel accommodation in a Canadian city...charged USD. No, they couldn't change it. Had to cancel. Tried again indicating CAD. Surprise...they could do it...only for more money obviously. Got there. Yes...reservation was there. Between the ********** in the parking lot, the power outage with no emergency lighting ( they used children's glow sticks) and the 1.5 hour wait in the adjoining Denny's...in sweltering heat....naah...won't be ever doing that again. EVER. Was very happy to see the last of that place.

We had an unplanned stay due to Covid issues. The room had garbage on the floor under the desk. When we pulled back the covers the bottom fitted sheet wasn’t even around the mattress on one corner. The mattress pad was all wrinkled under the sheet. The shampoo and conditioner were not full bottles (did not even have enough for one shower and there was 2 of us). I pulled out the hair dryer and the black bag it was in was full of dust as had hair stuck to it. The toilet was wobbly and loose. There was a major “soft” spot in the shower, felt like you were gonna fall through. The TV had disgusting finger prints all over it. When I mentioned all these things at the front desk, all I got was a “sorry” from the girl, it did t feel genuine. The manger on duty didn’t even come out to talk and no discount or anything was offered. I wasn’t looking for a free night or a discount but an offer of something would have been nice.

Checked in and quickly checked out, room was dirty gator aid bottle laying there, bed sheet dirty. Pol wasn’t open which they failed to mention, they have dungeon suites below ground! The girl didn’t even care we were checking out nor tried to figure something out! Sandman has gone waaaay down hill

My room cleaner lady Manni was so kind to give me extra set of towels and shampoos. Stayed here for a night and found the front desk guy Anju very accommodating. He gave me a late check out too! Hotel building exterior looks old but overall decent I can stay. Not a rip off like other hotels in city.

An older hotel that’s been nicely remodelled. The tower building has been converted to rental apartments so only the main building (floor 1 & 2) is the hotel now. I booked an upgraded corporate king room on the 2nd floor, be advised there is no elevator but that was fine for me as I like the privacy of an upper floor so I was willing to carry my bag upstairs. The manager was very helpful when I temporarily misplaced my credit card, in fact all the staff were very nice.

We stayed 1 night at Sandman and it was good. 2 queen beds and room was a decent size. Good shower and bathroom was clean. Block out blinds and quiet area so sleep quality is also good. There is restaurants and cafes in the area as well so location is ok. It’s a little out of the main area of town. Free parking is also a bonus. Overall our stay was good and we’d stay again.
