Eringer Hotel

All was perfect except the service at the lobby bar and at the restaurants (though food was good). The thermal baths and spa complex next to the hotel is really nice.

While we enjoyed our 5 night stay at this hotel it isn’t quite right for us. The hotel is based below Thyon and while it has ski-in access to the new Les Masses lift (and almost ski out - you have to walk up an iced path to get to the slope), it is at the far end of the 4-vallees making skiing across to Siviez, Nendaz and Verbier a hassle. This end of the 4-vallees is not as joined up as it could be! The hotel itself is new and looks smart and contemporary. Our room was sufficient for 2 but I would not say was spacious. Our bathroom was well sized but only had a shower ( - fine with me). Breakfast was acceptable without being great and the somewhat limited range of options meant I was getting bored after the 3rd day. We ate at the restaurant 1 night and found the food to be tasty but service was very slow. There is a large, new spa which I went to once. I can’t explain why but I did not enjoy it - mostly it was full of non-hotel residents visiting the spa and there were also lots of kids running when I visited. All in all this was simply the wrong location for us but for a 3 or 4 day trip to the mountains, this could be ideal for some.

we had a superb weekend. I particularly liked the room and we were able to enjoy the wonderful spa every day. The staff was attentive and we loved the energy of François Marie. we already book for next year, I highly recommend this hotel 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

If you want to experience the genuine canton du Valais : avoid it ! The location is gorgeous in the Val d'Hérens, but one does not feel local at all.. it was like being somewhere in Haute Savoie in France.. Disappointing to see that even if new, already lots of details are fading.. it gives an impression of badly managed, with very little care of details.... I don't need luxury, but when I book a hotel that claims to be 4* then I expect 4*... Info : the Spa is not part of the hotel, it's public bathes, not even the same company, despite being at the same place. Personally I also faced errors during check-out : they wanted to invoice more than what was confirmed by e-mail.... One positive note : the room was great, clean and we slept well.

We had a fantastic time at the spa. It is beautifully designed with spectacular views of the mountains and is very clean. Swimming outside in the warm thermal waters while overlooking the mountains and the slopes was such a great experience. The sauna also had stunning views. We can't wait to return!

Really beautiful setting and hotel, but let down by (what I thought) was pretty amateurish and inexperienced staff. I also had an incident in the garage which the hotel has ignored, so other cars might suffer the same damage: the ceiling is leaking a calcium deposit which is impossible to remove. My emails alerting the hotel to the problem were ignored, as were my numerous phone calls.

Beautiful brand new hotel in thyon. Very nice views and restaurants. Rooms not big but convenient and well done. Staff is very nice and helpful. Lobby/bar is simply amazing. Restaurant is good but still getting into real shape (just opened). Spa not done yet but very curious to see when finished

Beautiful hotel with a lot of potential but not yet ready for take off. Especially the kitchen needs some more time to operate smoothly. Both the dinners and breakfasts took ages with many mistakes (but the food itself was good). The staff was super friendly and offered us free desserts etc. So we hope that things get better and that many people can enjoy the beautiful place.

Having spent 3 days trying to find any accommodation in any resort in Switzerland having had our trip to France covid cancelled I came across the Eringer. A look on Google maps showed a field so I initially assumed a scam. But no. A call to the hotel and a bit of internet research proved otherwise. With 2 days before departing I booked a room for me and my 16 year old son. The staff on reception couldn’t have been more helpful. On arrival we struggled to find the parking but found it after a few wrong turns. The parking area and underground floors were definitely still a work in progress. The rest of the hotel (aside the unfinished Spa) is amazing. The bar and reception area is stunning. All of the staff couldn’t be more helpful and the director worked tirelessly with the team to iron out the inevitable early *******. Lots of things will no doubt improve (more hooks in the room etc) as the hotel is finished. The outdoor deck bar will also be potentially amazing but wasn’t open yet. I joke that it isn’t ski in / out but the 14 steps isn’t exactly a trial! Plans are afoot to make it ski in / out to the door. This hotel in Verbier would cost a small fortune but in this lesser known valley, it is affordable and the Verbier skiing 4 lifts away. The rooms are fine and functional. No bath in most rooms which some may miss after a long days skiing. Amazing views on one side so worth requesting a valley view. The only minor downsides:- is it is a quiet area of the village with only 2 other restaurants in walking distance (5- 10 mins or so) which were fully booked every night (both are also excellent) and an adequate supermarket about the same distance…. And:- Ski rental shops are not close, so a drive or bus is needed to sort. But collapsing in the bar next to the fire, moving one floor to the restaurant for a basic spaghetti bolognese or excellent 3 course meal and then taking the lift to your room is very relaxing and convenient. Would definitely recommend for all different groups of travellers. All age groups were there from toddlers to teens, and numerous dogs… and everyone we spoke to enjoyed their stay.
