As background, I moved into the District Living building in January for 6 months while I wok in Vienna. I should mention that the building offers very good overall facilities inclusive of a Cafe, Shared Workspace for rent, Laundry, Parking, 33rd Floor Study area, games room, and terrace. The front staff are very friendly and try to be helpful but they are working within a system that is not properly supporting overall building maintenance. However, since the end of January the property lacks adequate maintenance which has caused numerous problems throughout the building. For example, on a regular basis now the four elevators (or most) are out of service. There are 2 more elevators which are installed but not used for whatever reason. In addition, the stairwell doors are locked so when the elevators are out of service it is impossible to get around within the building. Secondly, since January there have been 2 power outages, the last one lasting from about 4PM to almost mid-night. Therefore, the stairs and room keys are not available so all the residents wait in the lobby - fun times! As an aside, the windows in the flats are sealed and there are only small vents to let the air in so if you like a cool flat in the hotter months you will not find it here - the building does not have a central air flow system. Finally, although this is a great property and it very convenient for transport, the lack of proper maintenance would not make me recommend this building for your stay in Vienna.
