We have recently returned from our 1 week trip to Robinson Quinta Da Ria. We have previously stayed at Robinson Noonu (would 100% recommend), so we had similar expectations. The first few days food choice felt poor especially lunch and dinner; however, towards the end of the trip we had some amazing food- not many all inclusive restaurants will do fresh tuna steaks, large pan of paella, oysters etc. and I can appreciate that catering to suit all people will be difficult and those nights I felt the choice was poor, others may have found it to be their favourite nights. The breakfast selection was fairly repetitive and I felt there could have been more vegan options such as pastries. One night a "Taste Jam" was done which allowed food stalls outside the restaurant serving food from different regions, when I first saw this I was dreading it as I have had similar elsewhere, however, as this hotel is much smaller, the choices were fewer (But again, good choices), I actually really enjoyed this night and the food being served. On several occasions I did find plates to be dirty so this needs reviewing. I also found it very odd that none of the waiters took drinks orders!? I have never been to a restaurant or hotel where you sit down for a meal and no one takes a drink order (unless you are drinking wine in the evening... after our first night we realised you had to get your drinks from the bar first before going to dinner. Coffee at breakfast was done at one of 2 coffee machines. but during lunch & dinner I felt there was a complete lack of service which significantly downgraded the experience. Drinks included in all inclusive were very limited, especially the cocktail selection, I appreciate there is always drink upgrades that you pay for, but I felt the included drinks could have been more extensive. The rooms were ok, very dated, lighting was not great and the shower had mould in. I feel like they need some TLC and updating. The pillows were however some of the comfiest pillows I've slept on. The pool area provided plenty of sun loungers,, and whilst it was busy, it didn't feel like you were packed in although at first look I thought it might. The beach at the hotel the hotel has tried to make it nice, having.a beach area with sun loungers, a bar and beanbags seating area above the actual beach, however you have to go down some steps to get to the water. This part of the beach was the worst beach I have been on. This is nothing the hotel can change, however, if you are wanting a beach holiday I would avoid this part of Portugal. We did book this holiday as a break from work to do nothing, so did not research the area well. Its about 20minute drive into Tavira town which cost about 9 euros in an uber, there isn't much to see in Tavira but was nice to walk around the town. there is also a nice walk near the hotel into another local village. if you want to do nothing, or play golf the location is fine, but there is not much else surrounding i
