Maui What a Wonderful World Bed & Breakfast

Our stay at What A Wonderful World was very nice. We stayed in the Mango Suite. Check in was simple, the stocked breakfast items were perfect, particularly the fresh fruit and the yogurt, and the location was ideal. The fact that we had items available to use during our stay helped quite a bit - we used the cooler for our our hike at Pipiwai Trail which required us to drive the road to Hana to get there.

This was my third time staying with Jim and Eva…it feels like home at this point. I always feel fortunate that I can stay there because I know they book up way in advance—don’t hesitate to make your reservation! Beautiful, safe location. Towels, coolers, umbrellas provided. Fresh fruit, juice, pastries, snacks—you ask for it, they’ve got it. And Jim and Eva will give you good recommendations of places to visit on the island. Mahalo!

We had such a great time. This B&B is in a quiet neighborhood, close to S Kihei Rd and the parks, beaches & restaurants. We stayed in the Guava Suite and it was perfect for the two of us. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, body wash & Q-tips. The cut up fruit in the fridge, the beach chairs, the lush greenery, the common sitting area/lanai, it was all great. Eva was so patient with me and my vacation brain (how do you shut the windows? You push on them... where is the coffee? Same place it was last night...:)) She and I had some great conversations and I felt like I was talking with a life-long friend. We were surprised at how warm our room was when we arrived, but within a few minutes of closing the door and windows, then turning on the swamp cooler, it was so comfortable. (We opened everything up and turned off the swamp cooler when we left for the day, as there is no reason to cool an empty room.) I could continue writing a rambling review, but I'll just say that this place is SO affordable and comfortable, and I feel like I left Maui with a new friend. I got teary-eyed when we had to leave and the hug from Eva upon our departure was the icing on the cake. We will definitely be back. Thank you Eva & Jim for your hospitality.

Perfect for what we were looking for - a reasonably priced, quiet, and clean bed and breakfast. Eva was a great host, the house is lovely, and checkin/out was a breeze. Each guest suite is assigned a parking space if you have a car. The house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood and is a 4-5 minute drive or 15-20 minute walk to Keawakapu Beach. The beach had public parking that never filled up the week we were visiting. Easy to Uber down to Wailea or elsewhere. All in all it was a great experience and we would highly recommend.

We were really impressed and pleased with our stay, away from all the beach condos but close to everything we needed such as the beach and restaurants. Eva and Jim are way ahead of most hosts in their open friendliness, helpful knowledge and willingness to make your stay memorable. We were able to borrow beach towels, chairs and a cooler. The room was all we needed to be comfortable. In a very quiet neighborhood that was nice to stroll around, taking us away from the tourist crowds we had a very pleasant three night stay..

We really enjoyed our 2-day stay. Eva is a great host. It was a warm welcome and Eva provided us with great tips what to do / where to go. The accommodation is very clean and cozy, the neighborhood is very nice. Short walk to the beach and shops. Thank Eva for having us.

Finding this Bed and Breakfast is a gem. I had privacy. comfort and tasty snacks. It was a 10 block walk to the beautiful beaches of Kamaole. Eva made my stay special by allowing me to stay on property until my midnight departure, called for a ride to the airport for me, and gave me a 10% discount for paying cash. The Guava studio is large with a comfortable bed and sitting area inside and a small private patio outside. There is a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle, coffee and tea and fresh fruit and all kinds of breakfast foods from granola to bagels. Most enjoyable stay in Kihe on Maui.

Beautiful room complete with a full stock of breakfast foods including fresh fruit, pastries, cereal, mini-pancakes, fresh orange juice, milk...Jim and Eva really go above and beyond with what is provided. There are Maui travel and hiking guides in the room, too, which was awesome. Beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers--they have it all. Private entrance to the suite but this is in a residential area that feels very safe. Ceiling fan, floor fan, and AC kept the place cool...screen door to the common area also provided a nice breeze. I was out and about for most of my hours on the island but when I came back at night it felt like I was coming home. I'd be fortunate to stay here again. Thanks Jim and Eva!

The room was well fournished and very quiet and surrounded by green. The host very kind and helpful. The position is close to the Wailea beach and a lot of restaurant and 30 min from the airport of Maui.
