The Featherbed Inn

This was an annual biking trip with friends and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay! Karen and Mick are exceptional hosts who have done an amazing job giving this property new life. The gardens, grounds, pond, porch and deck provide a variety of spaces to hang out and enjoy the scenery. There's lots to do nearby, from hiking to biking to skiing, as well as perusing the local small towns. The rooms are beautifully appointed, the breakfasts were delicious (oh those scones!) and at every point I felt properly pampered. I can't say enough good things about this inn, can't wait to get back!

We had an amazing first experience staying at a B&B! The hospitality and accommodations truly exceeded our expectations. We loved relaxing in the hot tub and by the fire pit. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, and the property is stunning. We wish we could have stayed longer! The area was perfect so much to do and see.

We were welcomed at the inn by Mic. He showed us around the inn and our room. When we said we were looking for a romantic dinner reservation on a Tuesday night , most places were closed. He recommended a wonderful take out and set us up on the deck to watch the sunset. After, he lit a fire outside to enjoy. The next morning we had a true gourmet breakfast cooked by his wife Karen….fantastic. Karen and Mic truly welcomed you in to their home and that in itself will want you to return ! P.S. The hot tub was wonderful and they are building a sauna….did I mention the gardens ❤️

Karen and Mick are two of the best hosts I have ever met. The Inn is exceptional….perfectly curated to the rustic Mad River valley. Their meals and recipes are incredible (best scones!). The property is beautiful, the buildings are rustic and traditional. The high point was getting to know Karen and Mick….they are the best! Until next time!!!!

The Featherbed Inn is the most wonderful place in the valley. The access to the biking is perfect! Karen and Mick are so welcoming, generous and the breakfast is amazing!! They made us feel like we were old friends stopping in for the weekend.

What a wonderful treat the Featherbed Inn turned out to be! In town for wedding but had pleasure of staying with Mick & Karen. They treated us like family! And OHHHH the food was homemade and delicious! Signature SCONES!! The grounds have 40 miles of trails for hiking, biking or stroll.

Karen and Mick went out of their way. We were there for a wedding and they offered us the use of their dining room, plates, glass and flatware so we could all enjoy pizza together two nights prior to the event. The beds are very comfortable, towels are plush, breakfasts are masterfully prepared and we greatly appreciate their commitment to the environment.

This was our second stay at Featherbed and it won't be our last. We were in a cottage room, spacious, well-equipped, comfortable and quiet. Breakfasts are exquisite. Hosts Mick and Karen welcomed us like friends and had excellent recommendations. They are clearly investing back into improvements. We're garden nuts and their new flower beds are a great treat. A new party/event barn is rising; (if my computer would have cooperated, I would have included a photo).

Featherbed Inn is a quaint hideaway nestled in the heart of Vermont’s Mad River Valley. We were at the Inn on the 04th for a family wedding and were very glad we chose the Inn. Quiet and pleasant surroundings, the grounds consisting of a pond, beautiful flowers, and grounds, a hot tub at the back, walking trails, seating areas where you could take in the beauty around you. The hosts, Karen and Mick came out to greet us and made us feel at home immediately. It was a home away from home, where we could wonder into the kitchen and watch Karen cooking away or, other areas of the inn where I could lay a Yoga mat in the early morning hours and workout! The Inn was very clean, the beds were like sleeping on a cloud. There were other amenities for your use. Hair dryer, iron and board, mosquitoe and tick sprays. Breakfast at the inn was a treat. Each morning we looked forward to Karen’s specials. Karen and Mick are fun people who are passionate about what they do and their hopes for the future of the Inn. Karen, I will not forget your kindness towards us. Keep doing what you do, making people happy! We will be back at the Inn! Thank you.
