The Old Bell at Warminster

V poor Thai takeaway V expensive and small portions. £77 for 4 people! Phoned to complain but just fobbed off on the first call and even made a second call to complain. Still no regard for customer service. Would not recommend Probably better to go to Thai Orchid in Westbury

We had a lovely family meal. We ordered from the pub and the Thai menu - all of the food was lovely! Reasonably priced and excellent service. Definitely recommend a visit. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff very helpful and polite.

I stayed at the Old Bell (solo) for a week while working locally. The room was very clean and had all the normal things expected; there was also a decent TV with terrestrial channels which allowed me to connect my own gear to watch Netflix etc. The free WiFi was ~20-30 Mbps. The parking at the rear was easily accessible, and I have a larger car. I was really impressed with the staff, particularly Kevin who served breakfasts each morning. They were all very friendly, however Kevin took the time to talk which was greatly appreciated: for someone travelling alone you miss the social aspect sometimes. If I work in this area again I wouldn't hesitate to come back here.

Put in a lovely large room we thought was great for our autistic lad to kick his ball around. How wrong were we about the room!!! First impression of the room is "what was the smell" which was from my 9 year old, then we all got it as we walked in. Lots of water damage in the ceiling and wall. Then I noticed what has to be a years worth of cobwebs above the curtain rail and more on the lamp shades. No cleaning being done. We try to have showers and the water pressure starts fine then after a few minutes it just stops to literally a dribble Showed a staff member a video of this so he gave us access to another room for us to finish the showers. Whilst in there the water went again but came back after 2 minutes. Also a lovely years worth of cobwebs above the window in that room . A huge room with 3 very small dim sconces on the wall with a low watt bulb. No main lighting at all. TV was impossible to watch. Signal on all channels skipping and broken. Toilet seat broken and lose. Door ways are very low down and even have a watch your head sticker. The entire building is like walking on a roller coaster as all the floors are so uneven and sloped but being an old building that's not something that could be easily fixed so not holding that against the owners. Pity I didn't read any reviews before hand and as I wouldn't have booked. what a disappointment.

The Inn is spotlessly clean throughout, with a comfy bed in a spacious room. Very warm but good fan kept room cool. Only downside with the room was in the bathroom where the mirror light did not work and the shower was feeble with the head unable to move. The outside courtyard was delightful and the food excellent both for dinner and breakfast but the most outstanding thing about the Bell are its staff, all welcoming, cheerful and helpful a pleasure to be around.

My room was definitely not stylish and comfortable. The bedside table was badly broken, the hot water in the shower and the basin ran out (literally no water came out of the pipes). No plug in the basin, no hairdryer. The only chair was a small fold up. The TV reception was so poor it was unwatchable. Decorations were poor and generally one of the worst rooms I have stayed in. I wrote to the hotel but have had no reply so here you are. Don’t stay.
