Watford (Croxley Green)

Dreadful night in this run down hotel! Absolutely freezing - room heaters would not work then 2 of the downlighters fell from the ceiling during the night and the bathroom had a 'hole' covered in lino to boot! Told staff in morning - she offered me free breakfast??!! Location is only good point i can think of but truly awful hotel!

Always like a Premier Inn. The facilities are good. Good size Tv Hairdryer Charging sockets beside the bed Lovely Bath/Shower Clean Good size car park (shame you have to pay) but at £3 something, can’t really grumble! Be nice to have a few more Teas/Coffees etc, but, you can grab some more by reception Overall, a good nights stay! Ideal if you’re visiting The Harry Potter Studio, as this is about a 15 minute drive.

We stay here pretty much every month/6 weeks. Just arrived at 3pm after a 5 and a half hour drive from Cornwall. Still sitting here an hour later as our room isn’t ready. No apology or explanation, just told it would be half an hour. Well it’s been double that amount of time already. We’re tired and sitting in reception exhausted and fed up. Since new management came in, car parking charges have been introduced, extra pillows no longer in rooms, baths with no plugs and the breakfast is so poor we’ve started skipping it. Now I feel like we need to skip this once reliable, convenient hotel. What a let down.

Hotel conveniently placed with cheap parking. Room was clean and comfortable. Would gave liked air con as no ventilation. Did not eat breakfast as left early, but the bar had nice atmosphere in the evening and the staff were very attentive. Quick check in.

Staff are great, room was good everything was set up how we wanted. A bit dirty and tired decor but nothing too bad. Some electrical sockets didn’t work but again not a big deal. Overall very happy with our stay. 2 nights. Anything we asked for was dealt with immediately.
