Hyatt Place West des Moines/Jordan Creek

This was a great hotel to stay in that offered a free breakfast and was right across the parking lot from Smash Park.

The room was excellent…clean, spacious, and modern. It was nice to have a little sectional for our family to lounge on instead of always being on the beds. Beds were comfortable…down pillows and comforter. Rooms were nice and quiet! I couldn't ever hear other doors closing or people above us. The breakfast was complimentary and was delicious! My kids loved the French toast! It’s too bad there wasn’t a hot tub but the pool area was nice and warm. The kids swam forever because the water was heated. Great stay!

I hope in the near future you add a jacuzzi to the hotel. It would be especially appreciated in the cold winters here in Iowa.

First time staying in this specific hotel so we didn’t know what to expect. The lobby was very bright and nice walking in. After receiving our room card we drove to the back and entered through the back entrance. It was easy to go up the elevator to our upgraded room. Once entering the room we were very pleased with how clean and nice it was! The layout was perfect for our needs. The bathroom was really nice. Although we didn’t utilize the pullout couch, it was a nice touch to have separate seating! We were very satiated with the breakfast as well, although more dairy free options would have been nice for my wife. Overall, we will definitely stay here again and bring our kids! Can’t wait to use the updated pool!

Nice hotel, convenient location. Cleaning staff is extremely over-zealous and kept knocking every 90 minutes all morning despite the do not disturb hanger on the door, which was extremely annoying.

Our stay was great. Only complaints I have is that our phone in the room did not seem to work, we were left with only 1 roll of toilet paper and no backups, a dead fly was left on our nightstand which didn’t make us feel clean in the first 30 seconds, and our extra blanket that was provided had a big hole in it. Outside of that, all staff was friendly and the room was beautiful.

The beds are comfortable and the breakfast was great. The food was replenished before running out. Clean and well located. They do have room service but we didn't use that service along with a tasty menu. The staff is wonderful and our time here was a pleasant experience.

Second time at the property. Great location. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

The stay was absolutely wonderful, however, checking in seemed to be the problem. ***Future hotel stayers, please be aware if you book through *******.*** Apparently there was a problem with ******* and the hotel, with not getting the funds from *******. Staff had no clue what to do, by stating they didn’t know what to do and told me it may take some time to figure out how to resolve the problem. They had no idea what to say and by me telling them that they need to figure it out fast, made them realize they needed to call the GM to help override. ******* has been around for a couple of decades; sounds like user error to me. To put icing on the cake, a family of 5 was having the exact same issue and the maintenance guy working at the hotel and of all people told us we need to lighten up and be more grateful, due to Thanksgiving being the day before. Hmmm I just drove 10 hours and the staff told me I couldn’t check in because of no payment. Guess what…payment was made awhile back. There have been other reviews at this particular location that have stated the same issue happening. I think this may be a great opportunity to train the staff on how to handle ******* bookings moving forward. I have booked 150 hotels through ******* because of the rewards program and this issue is the first time it has ever happened to me.
