The Dragonfly Inn

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the Dragonfly Inn. The room was comfortable, bed was great and the shower was lovely. We also enjoyed the breakfast tray and had fun trying our the egg poacher (with limited success!). It made for an interesting discussion around the breakfast table with some of the other guests. A great place to stay

This is a wonderfully sympathetic restored building full of character. The relaxing grounds include many rose bushes all in bloom with fragrant blooms. The common rooms are inviting to just sit and enjoy. Our room was Rosie, one of the smaller, more modern rooms but it included a small well stocked kitchen that we used as we like to self cater. The supplied breakfast basket was a great bonus and restocked daily. The room and the house was impeccably clean and tidy and the towels were nice and fluffy. The elevated position gave us a lovely view of Launceston, from the first floor balcony.

Wow, what an experience. Fluffy pillows and fluffy chairs in my room. Fluffy warm water bottles and fluffy robes. Cracker, cheese and wine in the fridge. A beautiful breakfast basket with enough for a packed lunch. Juice, relishes and port. What can I say, best ever stay, I had the Delilah room which had a tiny bit of sunshine coming in late afternoon on the one side and a flickering fire in the other. Wonderful atmosphere!! Forever impress with garden and city lights to view on the verandah. It’s a “I’ll be back from me”

I chose this place because of the name and the obvious tie to the Gilmore Girls and it didn't disappoint. It was what I imagined it to be. I liked the check in process and the breakfast basket (although I did wish there was a little juice somewhere). The building is beautiful, we stayed in the Lorelai room and although it was right at the front door it was quiet and also very roomy. Bed was really comfy as well

The Dragonfly Inn is our go-to stay when in Launceston. Good value, convenient and clean. The supplied breakfast basket is generous and the complimentary welcome drinks, cheese and biscuits were a lovely surprise. They even have a picnic basket and blanket you can borrow, a nice touch.

Beautiful building, gardens, and interior. Our room (Delilah) was very spacious and warm. It was also very quiet and peaceful, and the bed was comfy. So I had a great night sleep. This was my first time staying at The Dragonfly Inn, and I will be staying in there whenever I go to Launceston in the future. I highly recommend it.

This huge 2 storey BnB house is perfect. We based ourselves there for 5 nights and loved it . The rooms are huge and ours had a sitting room and large bathroom with a bath and a shower. Lots of special extras and great communication from very obliging staff. There are quite a few stairs so may not everyone although the bottom floor only has about 6 at the entry. We are 70 and were upstairs which was fine for us.

We had one night after arrival before heading out east. Had a ground floor room at the back, which has a kitchenette and fridge. Breakfast is supplied in a basket, inc eggs, which was plenty. You could feasibly walk into town but it's a steep climb up to the hotel on the way back. There was some good historical and waking reading material. The central dining area was charming with some old furniture.

Our stay at the Dragonfly Inn was delightful! It's a beautiful, historical building, full of charm. The decor is beautiful and guests have access to the shared dining / lounge room. Each room has its own style and character. The provisions are very generous and it's clear that a lot of thought has gone into making a very pleasant experience for guests. On site parking is free. There is no reception as such, but lots of information to help you settle in and staff are contactable if needed. Some rooms are upstairs and there is no lift. I would recommend you check the room you are booking to make sure it will meet your requirements. I loved it so much I've already made another booking to return!
