We had visited Mercedes World on Saturday and were visiting Brooklands Museum on the Sunday, this is why we chose Hand & Spear to stay overnight. On arrival around 5pm on Saturday afternoon we were warmly greeted at reception by a lovely young lady (sorry I didn't get your name) and given details of our room - I hadn't pre-booked a table for dinner but when we asked this was no problem. Our room (6) was on the small size with lots of quirky details, I loved the telephone in the room! A huge TV with Sky channels, a large comfy bed and a fridge filled with so many goodies alongside a basket of treats (honesty bar) complimentary tea, nespresso coffee machine, large bottle of water and a tiny bottle of fresh milk in the fridge - there was plenty of hot water and a great shower with a good selection of toiletries. We enjoyed our 3 course meal with great service from the young lady who welcomed us on reception when we arrived and Jessamie. There was a party going on and we could hear the celebrations from our room, but it didn't disturb our sleep. Breakfast next morning was very good, I opted for the 3 egg omelette with ham and cheese and my husband chose the full english breakfast. Great service from Sotty, who also checked us out of the B&B. I can totally recommend this accomodation and would return if ever we were in the area again. You have a great team working here!

The pub rooms were a pleasant surprise. Meticulously curated interiors, delicious food at the restaurant, and warm service were the summary of the stay. All in all, for our golf trip, we are glad we steered away from the chain hotels and tried this little gem.
