We booked months in advance and advised the size of our van. We booked a waterfront site. The site we were allocated had a massive tree on it and hanging over the site therefore we couldn’t get into the site were told to park on an angle which then blocked the access steps to the beach and would have had people waking through our setup. We asked to be moved but because they are busy we were put in some random spot that no other caravans were in. We are very disappointed to be told that wasn’t our original bay to park in but had to be moved because someone else complained about it ummm we simply don’t fit so just put elsewhere with no view which we paid for, not really good enough.

We arrived at the park with a booking for a powered caravan site for two nights, and were allocated a site so close to our neighbour that we could hear their tv if the windows were open. Our awning almost touches their van…and it’s the same on the other side. Our neighbouring site is just as tight a fit. So where do we park our car? It can’t go in front of the van, that is on the road. So we have parked on our (currently vacant) neighbouring site. We see our close neighbour has the same problem…he has so,bed it by partly parking on the road and by not putting out his awning. And no sullage point so water from our shower or washing machine runs down the road. Sigh.

The Discovery Park is very busy. The cabin is of low standard: - air conditioning loud and rattling sound making it hard to sleep - hand basin in bathroom would not drain - when showering the water does not drain and water can pool over shower cubicle - cracked and loose shower tiles. - grouting is dirty I telephoned the park to inform them of the above maintenance issues. I emailed Discovery Park, Whyalla informing them that the cabin was not what I booked. They informed me that my email was forwarded to Management. It has been over 3 weeks with no response. I will not stay at this property again.

Property was very dated, floor was very dirty but besides that everything else was clean

Dated cabin - broken tiles in bathroom, toilet loose etc, we were placed right next to the construction zone; and was super expensive.

That we could have our precious fur baby with us in anice two bedroom cabin on waterfront and staff were most accommodating, nothing was a problem. If need to come back will stay again for sure. A pool would be great.👍🐶🙂

Stayed for 1 night on my was to Pt Lincoln. I had an economy cabin and it was fabulous. Neat , clean and comfortable. A deck with chairs to sit outside and enjoy the sea view. A good walk to the jetty to see the dolphins that follow the boats into the marina. A very up close encounter. I will definitely stay there again

Good view near the sea, not a bad place for stop over and get some rest after a long drive. It has all the basic things you need, fridge, microwave, tv, amenities (shampoo, soap, conditioner, lotion, shower gel) kitchen utensils etc. You get what you paid for.
