Homewood Suites by Hilton Wilmington - Brandywine Valley

We stayed at the Homewood Suites Wilmington/Brandywine in Oct. 2024, and were given Room 128, which had a strong, strange, unrelenting smell. We had already unpacked, and tried spraying Febreeze all around but it didn’t help and we decided to ask for a different room. The front desk lady was super nice, and she let us change rooms. We were given a room on the 4th floor which was great — no smell at all. She said the maintenance staff would check it out. I’m just curious if they did and if they concluded what that particular smell was. I had wondered if it had something to do with sharing a wall with the electrical room next door. Anyway, don’t hesitate to stay here, just don’t get Room 128!

This was a return visit for us, so we are familiar with the hotel. Our stay was pleasant -- no significant problems but also nothing amazingly great. Our two adult sons took the 2 queen beds and I took the sofa bed, which worked out fine. The suite looked a little dated, it still had "land-line" ports. Everything worked except the AC power plugs in the lamps were a little loose, the modern AC adapters (like the one for my Mac) were too heavy so I had to plug that directly into the wall. Breakfast was fine; staff were friendly and professional, especially the person who helped us check-in at midnight.

Most everything here is in good shape l do have issue with the TV options. There are no smart tv with streaming options. Room was mostly clean but high dusting and vents were very dirty. The Food options were good and area was very clean

This hotel was awesome! Great location, near anything you need or want (markets, Marshall’s, restaurants). It was very clean, staff was professional and courteous, rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was great!

A great central location to visit gardens and historical sites in the area. The room was very spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. Small, but useable kitchenet with full size fridge and dishwasher. Complimentary breakfast and dinner (Monday-Thursday). Close to restaurants. Free parking and Wi-Fi. I stayed 3 nights. I felt safe.
