Castle Hotel Windsor

Well on arrival we was greeted y the staff on Reception with a smile, We was given our room keys to room 114.The rooms were clean and lovely and tidy plus couldn't ask for more. One thing we was sad about and that was the Restaurant,we had asked for a table for 2 and was asked if we had booked a table which we said no. Then to our shock we was told but we could order our food off the menu from the restaurant in the bar area. My wife sat down as she's disabled and I went to the bar to order some drinks. I asked for some menus and the young man behind the bar who was talking to his colleagues about his personal life said he will bring some to the table. 15 minutes later a young lady brought our drinks, and we asked her if she could bring us a menu which she did. I had asked ger to come back in 5 minutes so we could look at the menu, 20 minutes later no sign of the staff where I had to go to the bar and asked if I could order some food and the young man said someone will come over. The young lady came over and took the order.Then we was given cutlery which was stained with food and disgusting 15-20 minutes or so later the starters came Then the main courses. Now if I wanted to sit in the bar and pay over a £125:00 for a meal and get the service I would expect I would pay that money no matter what but I could have sat in the restaurant comfortably with my wife enjoying the evening in a lovely atmosphere but I would have rather gone across the road to the pub or a restaurant down the high street and got a much better service, rather then having some ***** leaning over the chair behind me facing our table where he was a foot away from myself as I'm eating.im not one that's rude but the hotel needs to know this

We booked via Trip and ended up with a room that didn’t exist. I rang the day before to check everything was okay with our booking and unfortunately this led to us being downgraded to a room we could barely get into it was so crowded. We were told to recoup costs via Trip, when I said this wasn’t acceptable to me the hotel sorted it out for us. Upgrading us for the next night and being very generous with supplements. Although this was a bit frustrating I felt they did what they could. The service was great at the hotel desk and the waitress was so lovely on Saturday night. Nothing was too much and the rooms were warm and snuggly. Bathrooms well specced and the food delicious. It was a busy weekend but there was a real sense of the hotel staff working together and like a swan, peddling hard underneath but smile and calm on top. Thank you for showing how hotel service can be ❤️

The service was good and friendly, I traveled with two sons 4 and 8 years old, the hotel didn’t charge for the extra bed and breakfast, I was grateful. The breakfast was superb delicious! The room was clean and decent size, and the bathroom was new furnished, but no bathtub😅 The location is great, easy to access to many restaurants also the Windsor castle. I will definitely comeback.

Great central location. Lovely breakfast and quality tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. Comfortable bed.

The hotel room is clean, but window view is not so good. It is looking at parking space. Breakfast is nice, and restaurant looks luxury style. We are happy to have breakfast in this restaurant. Therefore, we came back have afternoon tea in the Leaf restaurant again. The kids tea set so unique, it is specially have fun for my child. We love it.

Nice hotel, clean and easy accessible Plus wonderful service

Upon arrival the Receptionist said I did not have a booking. I showed her the confirmation email and she then said I was booked for only one night rather than two. She then updated their records. The room was lovely and very clean. The toiletries were an absolute delight and I will order some from the manufacturers website. The one thing that enticed me to book was the breakfast menu on the hotel's website. However I feel deceived, as all that was available was a help yourself buffet breakfast, either cooked or continental. Anyone who was vegetarian or vegan would have struggled to find anything to eat. The location was perfect. Across the road from the Castle. On the basis of being let down regarding the breakfast, I won't stay again and chose to eat out at restaurants in the area.

We stayed at this hotel to celebrate our Golden Wedding anniversary. The Hotel was just across the road from the Castle and close to shops and restaurants. The room was clean and there was very good facilities and extras. The breakfast included in the price was an excellent buffet with plenty of choice and included a full English fresh fruit and pastries - couldn’t fault it. We had dinner at the leaf hotel in house on our Anniversary and the food was again excellent and the service especially from the Maitre D was really good. All in all our stay was very good and I would definitely stay there again.
