Heye Youth Travel Hotel (Xi'an Bell Tower Metro Station)

One of the lowest priced hostel in the city, yet at some sorta hotel level of comfort. Bed is thick and comfy, and cleanliness is superb. In fact they have very awesome double bed room or family room too. Had I known this place earlier, I’d have asked my sister to book here for the entire family. But certainly, smoking in the room could be annoying, but it’s general to entire china and not this hostel coz it’s in the local culture to smoke everywhere they can (including shopping mall). In fact, once I informed the hostel of the issue, they took quick action and put me in another room.

We are two senior ladies from Singapore travelling free and easy. Booked our entire trip via Trip.com. Location of the hotel cannot be better. We could walk to most of the key places of interests. Also surrounding the hotels were loads of small eateries and also Telcoms and mobile phone shops. The staff at the hotel cannot be better. Excellent service, great attitude and goes all out to help. We arrived at hotel on 20April at 1.30am only to realised that we have booked one-day shot ! Our room booking starts on 20 April, the day of our arrival except that it would mean we will get our room at 2pm 20April ! I should have booked a day more to start on 19April. The hotel staff was most helpful. Our room type is fully booked for the night but hotel managed to find us an alternative room type that is safe for ladies. We were so very appreciative. One main negative for this hotel is that the building that the hotel is in is rather run-down. We booked an airport pick-up via Trip.com. When we reach the hotel it was in the middle of the night. The façade of the hotel was very very questionable in the dark. Front entrance was a poorly lit life lobby. Only lighting was a neon-sign at the rear. Our driver told us two ladies to stay in the car while he goes in to investigate. Overall, the hotel's common areas are in poor condition that needs major upgrading. The rooms and beds and toilets are clean and acceptable.
