Astir Palace Hotel

Even though we booked last minute, the partial sea view was a bit disappointing. Laganas is known for it's thriving night life for younger people and if you are looking for a peaceful family vacation it is definitely not a good choice. The sun-beds around the pool are free but those on the beach were around 7€ a pair. Since our flight was later in the evening and we checked out around noon, we were owed lunch and dinner because we payed the all inclusive fee in advance. We did not receive it, with an explanation that they don't give out any lunch packages nor did anyone ask for them. It was surprising to us because it is very common (in Greece) that if you pay for the meals in advance you have to get them, in lunch packets or in money. For the 4 of us, the surcharge for all inclusive was around 100€. The reception staff weren't billing to meet our requirements. The food was decent, the all inclusive drinks and ,,food'' were disappointing. Few water-downed sodas and sandwiches were what you get at the bar of the hotel next to Astir Palace. Water dispensers were only available during meals in the restaurant or in the bar, since the tap water is not drinkable. Rooms were clean, there was occasionally some noise from the young British mates but all in all, pretty disappointing experience.

I had an emergency night here due to a jet2 plane issue. It was very dated. Bed was OK. But decor leaves a lot to be desired. I found it noisy as I guess it's in Laganas which is renowned for clubbing/partying. They did what they could at short notice but the man at reception was abrupt. It was hard on all of us I guess. Breakfast was OK. Jet2 had to fork bill and I'm glad really as I guess I wouldn't have wanted to spend my hard earned cash, I guess it's not for everyone, but lots of other guests seemed happy. It's a great location to beach though and that shouldn't be knocked. I guess it just needs some tlc.

We are here with my sister it is nice the staff friendly the rooms are clean and the food is good (B&B) the location is excellent near to kalamaki to aigos sostis and the main laganas road the price was not so expensive we spend 8 days here and i offer to everybody

Signs should be put up notifying payment for where to payfor sun beds around the hotel and pool area .Not just some women turn up asking for money .Owner aggressively arguing with staff by the pool cafe as soon as we arrived which we found horrendous and very unprofessional as paying customers don’t want to hear this whilst on their holidays to relax ,hotel very basic 3 star .could do with coffee/tea making facilities in the room ,Food very much catered for German people and not a lot for children ,a lot of people pushing in queues and taking food out of restaurant,beach front location which is really good

I was in june 2023. It's a clean hotel, but not a 4 star hotel. They clean the rooms every day, the yard îs clean, situated at the beach (but You Have to pay for sunbeds and umbrella, even If You have payed for allinclusive). The forniture îs old. The food îs good but simple, almost the same every day. There are not spectacles or music the evenings. A hotel for old peoples, very quiet. I think îs a 3 stare hotel.

What can I say about this hotel I had all-inclusive with this hotel food is very bad snack bar is in a different hotel and it’s even worse and they use the Worst ingredient I rate this hotel half a star and you pay for the Internet and The Internet don't even work I wouldn't recommend anyone to come to this hotel. Travelled with my disabled husband to stay here, the staff were very helpful and friendly could nt fault any of them , from reception to the cleaners lovely people. A few improvements made since the last time I stayed before the pandemic and all for the better. We will be back to stay again.

Disaster, horrible, avoid this hotel. At the reception it sends you if you want packaged air 3 euros / day, you want internet 5 euros, swimming pool 3 euros / day / person /, safe 5 euros. If it could, it would also charge a fee for the air we breathe. AVOIDANCE !!!

We have just completed our holiday at this 4-star Hotel, which cannot be called a Hotel, and which does not deserve even a star. I don't even know where to start. I begin by saying the shortcomings I had in the room: I didn't have a hairdryer in the room. I didn't have any glasses in the room. The shower head was made of a yellowed plastic and similar to an extension of a garden hose. The bathroom had no ventilation or ventilation system. The furniture in the room, it was probably from the 70's, just like the TV whose screen was tiny and had only 7 programs, which also had sound or video malfunctions. We had a mini-fridge locked in the closet (you received a key to be able to benefit from it, in exchange for 2 euros/day), which overheated and was hot because it did not have ventilation as it was positioned in the closet. The safe was also for 3 euros per day. The air conditioning was probably spoiled because it was airing regardless of the temperature you were programming from the remote control. As customers staying in the hotel we could not benefit from the sunbeds at the hotel pool, only in exchange for 3 euros per day, and those at the hotel's private beach, teh sunbeds was in exchange for 6 euros per day. In terms of food, I can say that they had no diversity at all. I didn't expect to see anything like this at a 4-star hotel. In a region where olive trees are everywhere, both for breakfast and for dinner we had the same type and the unique olive. All the food was tasteless, except for the french fries. The dessert tasted like margarine, it was not sweet and it was queasy. The fruit bowl was poor, they had apples, pears in which you broke your teeth and a few oranges. Just that at a 4-star hotel? It is unacceptable. In the drinks category, I did not see water for 7 days. Am I asking too much? They had about 6 types of tasteless juices, whether you were putting on oranges or pineapples, it was the same thing just the color was different. The coffee machine offered you 2 types of coffee and hot water. Where is cappuccino or hot chocolate? The Hotel staff was bored and made you not feel welcome. As for the cleanliness, I saw only one woman cleaning 100 rooms. We stayed on the 2nd floor, arrived with cleanliness to our room only at 7 in the evening. There were 2 types of rooms, overlooking the sea or overlooking the garden. Which garden? There was only a parking lot and somewhere in the distance a palm tree. The neighbors had a mini-garden full of ****s. Maybe that? The only thing pro about this hotel was that it was close to the beach. But for this it is not worthwhile to bear the other shortcomings. I wouldn't come back here even if it were free. I was very, very disappointed. :(
