Loverly hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They suggested a great itinerary for our stay and also scheduled hotel pick up and drop off. Amazing hotel, great location, super helpful staff.

Everything was perfect ! Resorts is located 5 min od walk from main entrance to Forest Park. Everywhere you can walk. Around hotel is located local shop and local restaurant with delicious Chinese food. 2 min from hotel you have located coffee restaurant with beautiful view on rice land. Here you are paying for location and view. We travel a lot of China. This hotel have same Chinese standard like all. Don’t compare it to Hilton or Sheraton - this will be big mistake. We will back here of course ! We recommend this hotel !

The resort is on top of the mountain with a nice quiet town vibes however, is quite far from the city area and the main entrance of the avatar mountain so didi cost was definitely on the higher side. However if your looking for a quiet resort like vibes this place is good.

The staff was really helpfull for the itinerary and the room was big and very nice and we can finally enjoy western food :)

The best hotel we had on a 30 days trip through China starting in Chongquing to Shenzhen. This was THE ONLY staff speaking English fluently. Especially the super friendly girl doing the reception. She is the soul of this hotel. She managed everything people needed and was always smiling and really cute. The room are huge, the bathroom as well. It’s excellent clean and super cozy. They offer 2 washing machines, 2 tumble dryers and laundry detergent for free 👏👏 great. Best breakfast we ever had in China for both Chinese and foreign guest. Definitely world class premises- the only one in 30 days roadtrip. Free parking spaces and a very well equipped supermarket right in from the reception 👌 only negative thing is the woman sitting right in front of the hotel, screaming 10 times „hello“ at the guest and trying to sell her raw pumpkins. Not once, not twice- but everytime a guest shows up. I mean-what should a hotel guest do with a raw pumpkin??? I won’t start a barbecue in my room 🤦🏼♀️ she is extremely stupid and extremely annoying. If the hotel could manage to remove her from that place, that would be nothing negative to mention. Thank you guys for making our stay really remarkable. 🙏🏻❤️

The location itself is beautiful and the rooms themselves were lovely. The only downfall was the food they sold in their restaurant. They sold pizza for 70+ yuan each and the pizza itself came from the freezer. Not ideal. Other than that, it did the job!

We booked this property through Trip.com because it was advertised as Avatar Mountain Resort, with promotional photos and social media posts showcasing spectacular mountain views. Unfortunately, our experience was quite different. The biggest issue was simply finding the hotel. None of the major local apps, including Amap and Didi, recognized the property as “Avatar Mountain Resort.” After arriving at the airport, we had to contact the hotel directly. They asked us to connect via WeChat and sent us the address in Chinese. Only then did Amap and Didi recognize the location under the name “Zhangjiajie Zhishe, Zili Holiday Minsu.” We also noticed another name displayed at the building entrance: “Z Plus Resort Inn.” Having three different names for the same property was extremely confusing and made the arrival unnecessarily stressful. The second and most disappointing issue was the misleading advertising. The stunning mountain view shown on Trip.com and the hotel’s Instagram page was nowhere to be found from our room or the property. The only view available was a distant view of mountain ranges shared with neighboring rooms. The advertised “Avatar Mountain” scenery simply did not exist from this hotel. This felt like a significant misrepresentation and was the main reason we chose to book this property. Breakfast was another letdown. We stayed for three nights, and the breakfast was exactly the same every morning with very limited variety. On one morning, we even found blue mold growing on the bread, which was unacceptable. After that, we only felt comfortable eating the freshly made omelette. That said, there were some positives. The hotel’s location is excellent, only about a five-minute walk from the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park Middle Gate. From there, it’s roughly a 12-minute shuttle bus ride to the Bailong Elevator, making it very convenient for exploring the park. The staff also deserve recognition. The front desk and concierge team were friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful. They assisted us with purchasing park tickets, planning our itinerary, and answering our questions throughout our stay. Last but not the least, the lady outside the resort who was always selling cucumbers, hiking sticks, or raincoats. No matter the weather or the time of day, she always greeted everyone with a warm smile. It was a small gesture, but it added a genuine touch of kindness . Overall, while the location and staff were excellent, the misleading marketing about the view, the confusing hotel identity, and the poor breakfast experience significantly affected our stay. I hope Trip.com and the property update their listing to accurately represent what guests can actually expect. Travelers should not book this hotel expecting the iconic “Avatar Mountain” views shown in the advertisements. Convenience to Zhangjiajie is a plus for this location for sure though

I had an amazing stay at Avatar Mountain Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a peaceful atmosphere and lovely surroundings. What really made our stay exceptional was the staff. They were incredibly attentive, kind, and always willing to help. Our flight was delayed by several hours, meaning we arrived in the early hours of the morning, but they still arranged to pick us up from the airport and were just as helpful when dropping us off later. Their hospitality made a stressful travel day so much easier. Although the hotel is a little outside the city, it was never an issue. Getting a DiDi was quick and affordable, and the staff were always happy to help arrange transportation and make sure we could get wherever we wanted to go without any hassle. Overall, the combination of the beautiful hotel, outstanding service, and convenient transport made for a fantastic stay. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Zhangjiajie!

stayed one night at Avatar mountain resort, and it was an amazing experience. The view from the room was incredible, overlooking the mountains. Additionally, the service was excellent. The hotel owner was very helpful and assisted us with everything we needed during our stay in Zhangjiajie.I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Furong Town.also pool was best in nature
