3HB Golden Beach

My adult daughter and I have just returned today from a week's stay at Golden Beach. We honestly had the best time. We stayed in a Deluxe 1 bed with sea view. The apar**ent was immaculate and was cleaned thoroughly each day. Special mention to the housekeeping staff - they work so hard, and you see them around throughout the day, keeping the complex clean. All the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. We loved the little pool bar too! What we really liked too was the fact it was so peaceful and quiet, despite not being far from the ***** - which we avoided during our stay. We ate locally in the evenings at the restaurants at the bottom of the hill, with a couple of lunches in the Old Town and Marina. The local beaches are stunning. We did a catamaran trip along the coast to the caves which was great! There are supermarkets nearby, including 2 little shops at the bottom of the hill (Spar type), and can recommend the little bakery in the little complex - very friendly. Without a doubt, was a fabulous holiday and we will definitely be back when we visit Portugal again.

This hotel is truly golden.. Amazing from the moment we arrived. The staff on reception are wonderful. We were in apar**ent 35 with beautiful views down to the beach. The apar**ents are spotlessly clean! So equip it and everything you would need for a self catering stay. Even down to the gorgeous smelling toiletries and clean towels. The complimentary welcome bag was a lovely touch. The pool area is kept so clean and the pool is great, cold but welcome when it’s hot. Pool bar is lovely with a great menu of drinks and snacks. The location of the hotel is perfect, down the hill to Praia Da Oura beach is stunning. The setting is wonderful and the restaurants along the beach are amazing. We ate at Vivaldos and S.Martino Pizzeria and both were amazing reasonably priced meals. Would highly recommended them both if you don’t want to venture far. It’s a decent (hilly) 30/40minute walk to the old town at a steady pace. It’s worth the walk as there are some lovely views but equally worth the €7 on a taxi. We didn’t venture much onto ‘The *****’ but you are close enough to it by going up the hill but far enough away that you can’t hear it or see it! A trip to the Marina is well worth and we did a boat trip along the coast line which was incredible, the ladies on reception will order you a taxi to wherever you want to go. Overall an amazing stay….I can’t wait to return!!

This is the first time we have been to Albufeira and Golden Beach is an absolute oasis. The hotel is spotless and everything from the rooms to the pool area and pathways are cleaned every day. The staff are great, the receptionist on our arrival went out of her way to retrieve a bag that we'd left on our transfer and we had it just a couple of hours later, she was fabulous! Things can get rowdy at times outside the complex down to the beach, which is fine but if it's not your thing,chilling out by the pool with it's pool bar and music or just sitting on the balcony and soaking in the stunning views is perfect. The beaches are lovely along the coastline and we had a particularly great meal at Beach Caffe, their Piri Piri chicken and salads are delicious with gorgeous views, it's really laid back. The old town is well worth a visit, you can walk there and get a taxi back really easily. All in all we had a lovely time with great weather and look forward to exploring other 3HB hotels in the future. Many thanks

Fantastic Place to stay, from the moment we arrived this accommodation was better than we could have imagined. Spotlessly clean , friendly. The first place in years were you don't have to get up early to get a sunbed.we will be going back for sure. Best place we have stayed in years.

I have just returned from our 4th visit to this hotel. We had booked the 3 bed apar**ent but upon check in we were upgraded to the Villa which was a lovely surprise. We have stayed in the villa a few years back and we loved it then. The hotel is spotless, staff are very friendly , pool area lovely and chilled. The pool bar has a lot of choice for drinks and snacks are just as good. Would definitely recommend and will be returning again next year Thank you

Amazing apar**ents, spacious and very comfortable. Everything you could need in the kitchen though we did take a cafetiere. The cleaners were incredible, they work so hard and do a great job. There's a great supermarket just a few minutes down the hill that had a good selection of veg, wine etc and even some vegan products. Good value as well. Thelma on reception was very helpful. This is nothing to do with 3HB Golden Beach but I struggled to eat out in Oura as I'm vegan and there isn't much choice. However pestcitarian husband had some of the best fish dishes so he was happy.

Just come back from a weeks stay at the 3HB Golden Beach. Location was great! Right next to the beach with beach shacks for food and drink. Up "cardiac hill" to main *****. t's not really that bad of a hill, maybe not good for people who are unfit or have walking problems as path can be slippy.Hotel is close enough to the mains ***** for bars and restaurants without hearing the nighttime noise. Old town is a nice 40 minute walk away or under 5 euros by uber which takes less then 10 minutes due to one way systems. Room was lovely and spacious with plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 children. Decided to give the kids the bedroom for a change but mostly because the beds were too firm for me lol! Sofa beds were much more comfortable and when placed on the floor, make a nice double bed. Room was very clean and cleaners came in every day to tidy up and make beds. They work so hard to make the hotel clean and tidy I think they deserve more recognition. Kitchen had everything you could need for making food and there was a tea towel and washing up liquid provided. Toaster, kettle, microwave and 2 ring hob. Bathroom was also lovely with shower over bath, hand wash, shower gel, shampoo, toilet roll and an abundance of clean towels daily. Don't be too put off by the steps around the hotel, they aren't that bad. We stayed in room 21 which was halfway up from pool, halfway down from reception and never had any issues. Pool was cold but that didn't stop my kids! There were a few times we struggled to get 4 sunbeds but that was due to people reserving beds and not actually using them. Some people have no thought for others. Pool snack bar was good with cocktails for 7.50 euros, cocktail of the day 6.50 euros and a beer for 3 euros. My only bug bear was happy hour. It was stated to be between 4-6 but actually doesn't exist!!!!! Went to get a cocktail before going up to our room and was told it was only the cocktail of the day. So I accepted that and ordered expecting to get 2 but was only given one. When I asked about the happy hour I was told it was just a special price for the cocktail but this had been the same all day! Total false advertising which needs to be taken down. There is NO happy hour! Bar is also cash only. Not too much of a problem, just need to have the cash ready. Food ordered from the snack bar was amazing. Recommend the chicken wings. They were fresh, piping hot and delicious! Reception staff we great on arrival providing info on how to get to room, pool opening times and pool towel system. On check out I felt we were almost pushed out! As check out was at 11 and out pick up not til 5 we decided to use the luggage room and have a pool day. When we went to use the one small shower room, we were told to hurry up as there was another family waiting. Now I'm not one to mess around, especially when we have a transfer to get, but there really was no need to hurry us along when we were just trying to gather our things. I ended up sorting ourselves

Loved it here. Gorgeous apar**ent which was huge for the three of us. Everything was spotless- a credit to the hotel staff. Pool and bar area was great although pool was freezing! Lush cocktails and tasty bar snacks. Fab location and no noise from the bars on the *****. Can’t wait to come back.

This place is amazing. The staff go above and beyond, the standard of cleanliness was 1st class. The pool, apar**ents and reception area were always spotless. Free use of safe in the apar**ent which was brilliant. We felt very safe at all times - I would go back in a heartbeat!
