Very relaxed and laid back setting where nothing was a rush. Maybe some.music in and arou d the pool.area during the day and access to more evening entertainment with games or alternative to jusy the band that were playing would have been good. Overall a pleasant stay and loved the room size and walk in shower"

"Superb property, meticulously maintained. We stayed at the top floor 2 bedroom Residences, and it was fantastic: spacious, well appointed, overlooking the verdant golf course will a fully fitted kitchen and utility room and a large wrap around balcony. House keeping and turn down service was excellent. The restaurants were fabulous, the dinner buffet at O Grill with a seafood live station was well worth the effort. Yes they are on the expensive side, but you get the service and food and ambience that you pay for; alternatively, there are many slightly cheaper alternatives outside the property or in the nearby village of Olhos de Agua (5 min by car). Every staff member greeted us with a smile, and were immensely helpful whenever we need one. The property is large, so prepare to walk a lot, or call the hotel buggy or better, rent a car from the Europcar rental services conveniently situated with the resort and drive around. Dont forget to enjoy the glorious sunset at the Mirador champagne or gin bar with breathtaking views of the ruby-red cliffs dotted with pines overlooking the sea, a dramatic landscape where the property gets its moniker from. Will return soon."

"This place has polarizing reviews.. After going there, I understand why. The facilities and services are good. You can use the swimming pool, washer and dryer (performance is poor), sauna and spa for free, and although the building structure is unique (1st and 8th floor reception, 2 elevator transfers, etc.), it's okay if you get used to it. We couldn't find the way by taxi, so we climbed the hill with our suitcases, but the reception on the first floor is near the spar mart. They were friendly, but the air conditioner was broken so I called twice and they didn't come so I just gave up. This place is in the middle of the old town, so I actually made a reservation based on the location, but it's literally in the middle of the club street, so even if you're inside the accommodation, you'll be staying at the concert hall all night long. There's no soundproofing, so you have to enjoy it together until 5 a.m. The noise is another level, as foreign reviews say. I’m traveling around the world, but this place is really ambiguous haha. The breakfast isn’t bad, but it’s just ambiguous… . Personally, I think it would be less noisy and better if it wasn't just in this alley because it's Albupay!!"

"4 lads on a golfing trip. Beds where not changed. One chap had to sleep on the couch for 5 days. Shower didn't work. Chair broken in the room. Fridge was frozen solid, light in the kitchen over the table wasn't over the table as it sat on the table.Complained and looked for room change but took upgrade to all inclusive, worst decision made was accepting that, Food dry, no flavor not enough choice. They couldn't get the icecream right. I think they bought the 3 of the 4 star advertise on temu. We were checking out on the mornig to leave adn they had someone call at 8am to fix the shower and then 8.30 we were offer teatowel. it was the 1st time i stayed in a hotel and not one person imploded smiled. Disaster Stay away."

"Beautiful hotel with the best staff Very clean comfortable hotel, we stayed in room 203 with breakfast included Breakfast was great, fresh and hot with wonderful variety Our room was modern and very clean, the maids came every day and worked v hard, pool area lovely and relaxing, plenty of sunbeds, 2 seating areas outside and more seating in the bar with pool table. Location is close to old and new town, local shops, pharmacy & supermarket. This is our second stay here and we will booking again for next year. I can’t thank the staff enough for how helpful and friendly they are, reception, breakfast and general staff provide great service and do their very best to ensure you have a pleasant stay. I highly recommend the Navigator Aquasol, they have excellent management here, the hotel runs like clockwork and all staff seem happy in their jobs. I’ve been coming to Portugal for over 20 years and this is my favourite hotel. So sad to be home now 🥲 see you all next year ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"Excellent Location, Private Beach access, Delicious Buffet Dinner and Good buffet Breakfast is the Key Point. It's a massive aparthotel. Service was Okey, not much interaction. Thought, it will be quite due to off season but it was busy due to 3 large Football Club also came for the weekend. Our room was in A block. A bit walk from main reception and restaurant. We booked standard room, so was not expecting much anyway. Room was okey size. There was air-conditioning in the room but no heating. Tried 30 degree with that but room was not warm enough. Toilet was missing Hand wash, no soap, no slippers. Basically no toiletries as expected from 4 star hotel. Positive thing was main Restaurant Jacs. We booked half board. Breakfast was okey. But best part was dinner. Themed dinner every night. Good service and quick refill. Has Outdoor Pool and Sauna. Ocean Bar is good for Sunset view. The location was good. Beach is walking distance. Pub/Club/Supermarket/ restaurants are 5 to 10 min walking distance. So far so good. Would recommend."

"Fantastic holiday - Ignore the negative reviews! Stayed here for a week early June as a family of 5 adults and can honestly say we had a great time. Pool area is busy and entertainment team do a good job. Food is good, always a number of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Dinner always includes meat, fish, pasta, fresh salad, chips and a kids option i.e. chicken nuggets, fresh fruit, bread and selection of desserts. Breakfast includes fresh fruit, juice or smoothies, cereals, yoghurt, cooked breakfast toast, continental options. Drinks include beers, local spirits, cocktail of the day (others are extra) soft drinks, slush (pool bar) hot drinks. Pool bar also does pizza, garlic bread, baguettes, toasties, crisps and ice cream tubs. Hotel itself is an odd set up logistically but once you find your bearings its fine, rooms are spacious, quite basic (no hairdryer) but were cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. Great views from the hotel and direct access to the beach. We would definitely return."
