The breakfast is plentiful, the room is clean, very close to the Amiens Cathedral, and there is SHOW in the evening, wonderful! There is no private garage, but there is a public parking lot nearby. It is not too far away. Unload the luggage and save the car. If you can't come back, you can go around and there is a food street next to the garage.

LOCATION: Ideal. I arrived by train and it was about 5 minutes walk down the same street, nice and flat for the wheelie case. Lots of local sights within easy walking distance including the cathedral (France's largest, twice as big as Notre Dame in Paris), Jules Verne Museum and the incredible Musée de Picardie. APARTMENT: When I entered, I was blown away by the superb views over Amiens including the the cathedral spires from both the sitting room and bedroom windows. The apartment was spacious, clean, quiet and had everything needed. STAFF: Amiable and helpful VALUE: Outstandingly good.

Breakfast has bread, juice and cold dishes, no hot dish, no sausage or scrambled eggs. The surrounding environment is hard to say. Next to the train station, even during the dinner time, there are quite a lot of idle people. During the stay, there are idle people sitting on the stairs at the entrance of the hotel every day, and the safe and tidy area of the city feels very different. The bed in the room accounted for a large part, the aisle was narrow, and there was no desk or something like a desk that could put a laptop. There was no light at all when I entered the door without inserting the room card, and I tripped heavily when I rushed back to the room to take my luggage. All in all, the facilities and environment are not ideal.

The location is very good, right next to the train station. The front desk service is also very good, helping us to pick up hot water every day, and breakfast is also good, but the room is very small, it can be said that it is the smallest room ever, two people can not turn around, and can't put luggage. The cleaning aunt couldn't understand English and had difficulty communicating. For two days, she didn't clean the room at all. Will not book again!

We were looking for a stop over that was close to Calais after a weeks trip around France. I would certainly recommend Amiens for that. The Ibis in Amiens is a bit worn and needs a refit. I have stayed at Ibis hotels before and although budget, they are normally better appointed than this one. Despite this, our welcome was by far the best out of all the hotels we have stayed in during our trip. There is a car park at the rear which is quite an experience if driving a right hand side car. Very scary! Social distancing and covid precautions were good, indeed better than the five star hotels we stayed in. The room had a very comfy bed but all looked a bit dogeared. The bathroom was tired but the shower was great. In fairness, it was just what we wanted and expected. The Ibis is a five minute walk into the town. Great shopping and the light show at the cathedral at 10pm is a must. The restaurants by the river are great but do your homework as there are better and cheaper places to eat. We would return.

We received 2 emails about our stay on the day of our stay. One was to tell us that check in after 7pm required special instructions. That email we received at 7:31pm and since we were driving at the time we didn't see it before arriving. My heartfelt thanks to the very nice lady who very patiently helped us. I wish I had known about the check in procedure 24 hrs earlier. Both emails should have been sent 24 hrs earlier. Also parking is not easy until you know how it works. There is parking on the street but good luck with that. For us the closest was 1/2 mile away. We planned to use their on site parking but it is not signed so there is no way of seeing it when you arrive, and there is nowhere to even stop outside the hotel. It made our check in rather fraught after a long day's drive. I would happily stay there again as the rooms are good as is the breakfast and it's an excellent location, but I'd recommend not using Odaly's website to make the booking if possible as it doesn't allow you to review your booking after it has been made.

I should have read the advice on Google and TripAdvisor before booking in this hotel. It is not noisy at all. After all, you are wake up every time someone comes into his room. You hear the doors shouting, the customers dispute. We heard a man going out in the corridor and saying ”You're going to close your ...?” and then a ”c ....!” We don't know if you're going to laugh or cry. We came back at 23:15 p.m. We didn't talk in the corridor. We have kept the door of the room so that it doesn't knock. Unfortunately, others do not have anything to do with people who sleep! Otherwise, the room is very small. Once you have put your bags, you can't move. With breakfast, it can be: we have cheese, jam, chocolate bread, croissants, madeleins, fruit salad, yachts ... If you return to Amiens, you will find another accommodation mode!

Superbly located on the high street of Amiens, this hotel is rather nice with a historic feeling. We picked this hotel as it was approx. 5 min walking distance from Amiens station, super handy if you're here only for a day. The front desk was super friendly and polite. Our room was on the top floor (there's an elevator), but we would recommend trying to use staircase at least once - the interior of the building is indeed historic and is a nice piece of early XX century architecture. The room was warm and comfy, we had everything that we needed. The breakfast was quite nice (way better than what you get in an ibis styles in Paris), the only challenge being that the hotel was full, and seemingly some guests had to wait a little longer to get seated. WiFi connection could have been a little better, otherwise - no complaints whatsoever.

This hotel was great! Far, far better than its two-star rating would suggest. It was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, the location was within 10 minutes of the main station in Amiens and another 10 - 15 minutes to the restaurants alongside the main canal. It was very quiet at night. There was only one possible downside. There are some major buildings being constructed nearby and work starts soon after 7.00am. I visited in mid-May 2023 and I would imagine building work will continue for at least a year, I didn’t find it a problem but I had to get up about 7.00am. There was quite a lot of machinery noise and vehicle reversing. It might be best to ask for a room on the side furtherest away from the building works.

Superbly located on the high street of Amiens, this hotel is rather nice with a historic feeling. We picked this hotel as it was approx. 5 min walking distance from Amiens station, super handy if you're here only for a day. The front desk was super friendly and polite. Our room was on the top floor (there's an elevator), but we would recommend trying to use staircase at least once - the interior of the building is indeed historic and is a nice piece of early XX century architecture. The room was warm and comfy, we had everything that we needed. The breakfast was quite nice (way better than what you get in an ibis styles in Paris), the only challenge being that the hotel was full, and seemingly some guests had to wait a little longer to get seated. WiFi connection could have been a little better, otherwise - no complaints whatsoever.

LOCATION: Ideal. I arrived by train and it was about 5 minutes walk down the same street, nice and flat for the wheelie case. Lots of local sights within easy walking distance including the cathedral (France's largest, twice as big as Notre Dame in Paris), Jules Verne Museum and the incredible Musée de Picardie. APARTMENT: When I entered, I was blown away by the superb views over Amiens including the the cathedral spires from both the sitting room and bedroom windows. The apartment was spacious, clean, quiet and had everything needed. STAFF: Amiable and helpful VALUE: Outstandingly good.

This hotel was great! Far, far better than its two-star rating would suggest. It was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, the location was within 10 minutes of the main station in Amiens and another 10 - 15 minutes to the restaurants alongside the main canal. It was very quiet at night. There was only one possible downside. There are some major buildings being constructed nearby and work starts soon after 7.00am. I visited in mid-May 2023 and I would imagine building work will continue for at least a year, I didn’t find it a problem but I had to get up about 7.00am. There was quite a lot of machinery noise and vehicle reversing. It might be best to ask for a room on the side furtherest away from the building works.

We were looking for a stop over that was close to Calais after a weeks trip around France. I would certainly recommend Amiens for that. The Ibis in Amiens is a bit worn and needs a refit. I have stayed at Ibis hotels before and although budget, they are normally better appointed than this one. Despite this, our welcome was by far the best out of all the hotels we have stayed in during our trip. There is a car park at the rear which is quite an experience if driving a right hand side car. Very scary! Social distancing and covid precautions were good, indeed better than the five star hotels we stayed in. The room had a very comfy bed but all looked a bit dogeared. The bathroom was tired but the shower was great. In fairness, it was just what we wanted and expected. The Ibis is a five minute walk into the town. Great shopping and the light show at the cathedral at 10pm is a must. The restaurants by the river are great but do your homework as there are better and cheaper places to eat. We would return.

We received 2 emails about our stay on the day of our stay. One was to tell us that check in after 7pm required special instructions. That email we received at 7:31pm and since we were driving at the time we didn't see it before arriving. My heartfelt thanks to the very nice lady who very patiently helped us. I wish I had known about the check in procedure 24 hrs earlier. Both emails should have been sent 24 hrs earlier. Also parking is not easy until you know how it works. There is parking on the street but good luck with that. For us the closest was 1/2 mile away. We planned to use their on site parking but it is not signed so there is no way of seeing it when you arrive, and there is nowhere to even stop outside the hotel. It made our check in rather fraught after a long day's drive. I would happily stay there again as the rooms are good as is the breakfast and it's an excellent location, but I'd recommend not using Odaly's website to make the booking if possible as it doesn't allow you to review your booking after it has been made.
