"I was pretty disgusted to see the N word written in dust on the window in our suite. The food was overpriced and was definitely nothing special. Didn't matter after dinner though; there's no microwave to reheat left overs, and with how cold our room was, our food got cold and hard pretty fast. The wallpaper is coming off the wall, the hooks are coming out of the wall, we had the heat on friday-sunday but could never get it up past 68 degrees despite it being on for days. The water got shut off while we were there, parking was crowded/limited. We booked a room for 5, only to be put in a room with only 2 beds and told they couldn't provide us with a cot because of fire hazards; after complaining that I'm not putting my child on the very used/old carpet, they upgraded our room to include a couch for my 3rd child. The pool required a reservation but they didn't check reservations and the pool was over crowded. I was REALLY uncomfortable with how secluded I was from everyone when going to the locker room... it felt like the perfect spot for someone to catch a woman or child off guard. Everything is very old or outdated or broken in one way or another, and everything was VERY overpriced. If they want to claim they're a resort and charge resort prices, they need to start looking like a resort. Next time we need a weekend getaway, we'll be going to Denali instead!"

"The air conditioner was broken and couldn't be fixed. The front desk said all the rooms were full, so they couldn't change rooms. We weren't the only ones with broken air conditioners; the temperature dropped to below -10 degrees Celsius at night, which was very unacceptable for guests."

"There was a guy at the front desk whose service was average. After asking for our IDs, he also asked me for my home address? it's wired. Then the ventilation fan in the bathroom could not be turned on. When I reported it to him, he told me to ask maintenance personnel to come and take a look, but they never came. The room and hotel are okay, clean and sanitary, and the facilities are relatively new. Overall, it is recommended."

"A hotel with a rich history! The lobby had a festive atmosphere, the staff were all warm and polite, and there were several excellent restaurants on site. Overall, I was very satisfied and would definitely choose it again next time!"

"The hotel seems pretty rundown despite obvious upgrades to the room. The room was pretty clean. The bed was not comfortable. There were no outlets to charge phones by the beds. I had to plug into the one in the bathroom. The one by the coffee maker requires the light to be on to work. The hotel advertises guest laundry but it's apparently in a building they've closed so not accessible. The location is good if you only have a short layover but being near the airport is far away from everything else to do in Anchorage. The breakfast was decent but only offered orange juice and coffee for drinks. Not even water which we had to ask staff for. Staff were helpful with storing our bags, check in, etc."
