"We arrived by public bus, so it was relatively convenient, but the hotel's shuttle service wasn't very well-organized. Dinner was a bit different from what we expected, leaning more towards Western tastes, while breakfast was a rich buffet. The only minor flaw was that the stopper for the private hot spring drain tended to get stuck. The river sound was quite loud, possibly due to it being flood season. However, once we closed the balcony door at night, it was perfectly quiet. Thank you for the honeymoon gift, we were very happy about it."

"Highly highly recommended Location: Super near Gora station very convenient to travel everywhere. There is even direct bus to and fro Gotemba premium outlet, Hakone-Yumoto and Odawara was convenient as well. Ryokan: Check in was great, front desk communicates and explains everything in English clearly. Was able to reserve my 2 night’s dinner upon checking in too. There were free snacks, lounge area with coffee/drinks/ice cream, you can choose your yukata for both male/female, daily nighttime free delicious ramen. Room: Excellent, bed was comfortable and there is an outdoor tub as well. Take note the tub will be filled with hot water instead of hot spring water. There was pyjamas as well. Onsen: There are 3 different outdoor private tubs which will light up when in used (first come first serve basis). We managed to try all 3 and our favourite was the wooden tub, followed by stone tub and lastly the one with 2 tubs (so each person to soak in 1). Queue can be quite long sometimes as this private onsen is popular among couples. To be considerate it is best to use it as quick as possible. Then there is the public onsen with both indoor and outdoor, hot, cold dips and sauna. Hot dips can reach up to 40-42 degrees. There is another human made hot water carbonation onsen which has lesser people since it is not hot spring water. I thoroughly enjoyed all the onsens. Meals: Highly recommend to opt the breakfast and dinner options. Restaurants close very early around 5pm so there are not a lot of dinner options outside the ryokan. Meals were excellent and Japanese Kaiseki style. Very delicious and there was so much food in the course meal. Overall 10/10 experience and I would choose this ryokan on my next trip."

"This hotel was by far the best one we stayed at during our trip to Japan. The breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options; while the selection wasn't huge, which is a common trait of Japanese hotels, the environment was absolutely stunning. I checked in at night, and when I woke up in the morning, I was completely amazed by the beautiful scenery outside the window. I couldn't even sleep in; I quickly got up to enjoy the view in the garden. The staff were very friendly, and there was a lovely ********* lady who helped us communicate without any issues. She even brought our luggage all the way to our room and thoughtfully explained everything, which was incredibly helpful. The room was spacious too. We booked a double room, but since their beds are 1.4 meters wide and there were three of us, the hotel thoughtfully converted the sofa into a separate bed for us, turning a double into a triple! I loved it so much. I'll definitely recommend it to friends and I'll stay here again next time I visit Japan! 🎉"

It's a magnificent place, so peaceful and beautiful. The staff's attitude is so warm and polite that you feel like a cherished guest in the home of hospitable hosts! The atmosphere is off the charts! The traditional breakfast and dinner are exquisite, especially if you're open to trying new and unfamiliar foods!!! When you check in, make sure to wear the kimonos graciously provided by the hotel for dinner. A huge thank you to all the hotel staff for our stay, and especially to the ladies! "I booked a one-night, two-meal package at this hotel. The room was a Japanese-style tatami room. The hotel is a 12-minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station and has a very distinctive ambiance with its courtyard, waterfall, and koi fish. The staff were attentive and detail-oriented. The dinner offered a wide variety of dishes, including sashimi, sushi, and tempura. What left the deepest impression was the natural hot spring, which provided a truly delightful and relaxing experience for both body and mind!"

"Parking at the resort is extremely restricted. Even though I parked my car in one of the designated spaces after entering the resort, I still had to re-park at the staff's request. They had to park one car after another, which was quite amusing. The resort is built on a hillside, so you have to push your luggage up a small slope to reach the lobby. Once inside, you immediately have to remove your shoes and change into the resort's provided slippers, but these aren't brand new disposable slippers; they've been worn by countless people. I found this arrangement extremely unhygienic. We were assigned a room on the third floor of the annex, but apparently, apart from the main building, the annex doesn't have an elevator, so I recommend bringing your own. The room, while large, was poorly lit, lacked sufficient space for washing hands, and the shower area was small, so the shower curtain frequently touched your body while showering. The buffet breakfast and dinner were of average quality, with limited food variety. The restaurant itself wasn't very large, with only about thirty seats, but its location was conveniently close to Owakudani."

"This was a very bad hot spring hotel experience. The private bath was cold. The housekeeper came over to fix it for an hour, but it still wasn't fixed, so I had to change rooms. . . Fortunately, there are rooms available during the off-season! ! ! It is the custom for all hot spring hotels to check in at 3pm and check out at 10pm. I spent three hours repairing the hot springs! ! ! ! I swiped my card before leaving, but the front desk forgot to return it to me. I found it when I arrived at the station and went back to get the card! ! ! 😭😭😭There are also “French meals” that I can’t get enough of, I’m speechless."

"This hotel is a bit far from the station, but thankfully, they offer a shuttle bus service every 20 minutes. Just make sure to check the schedule. The hotel itself is a bit old but kept very clean. The set dinner was decent, and the breakfast buffet was just average. If you're not too picky, it's a fine place to stay. The outdoor hot springs are fantastic, with five large and very comfortable pools. Next time, I might just come for a day trip to use the onsen, as that would be even better value for money."
