Moxy Banff

Always wanted to be the first person to review a new hotel Spent 2 day in late April just a few weeks after opening. Over all we enjoyed our stay. Moxy hotels are very different then your traditional Merritt hotels. Very funky vibe with a very retro feel with very cool and interesting rooms. The rooms are probably the smallest we have ever stayed in but they made good use of the space. It is lacking a mini fridge which one pretty much expects these days. Am told all rooms will have them come next year. The lobby is has a good selection of games to play and lots of seating depending on the number of guests. Patio and pool area nice as well and will be a great hang out place come warmer weather. A few tips- no robes in the room, have to walk through the lobby to get to the pool,morning can get a bit crazy as at the time of this review there is no dedicated staff taking care of clearing table…ect. The $25 a day parking fee is questionable as almost all hotels in Banff don’t charge for parking. If you have never stayed at a Moxy hotel before is definitely worth a stay at least once.
