Holiday Inn Express Beijing Temple of Heaven

Slight unpleasant smell from lift corridor to hotel room. Carpet needs washing. Room is clean. Breakfast is so so. Cleaners are very attentive to clearing used plates but not trained in clearing food left on the table because one of them simply swept food crumbs from table onto the floor. One bespectacled female staff is not inpatient and attentive to guests.

The carpet and walls were pretty grungy, but the linens and bathroom were very clean. The wifi was fast and air con was excellent. The breakfast was good for Chinese food but no Western options. However the coffee was excellent! I like the location. It was a 10 minute walk to the edge of the Temple of Heaven park, and then another 15 minutes walk to the main sites inside. I would stay here again.

The front office was unhelpful including the duty manager who was standing in front of me but took 5 minutes to attend me when I had to come down with an issue with my key card. The room was terrible and was unclean. The humidifier was terribly unclean. Eventually I had to ask trip.com to cancel my booking and I had booked at the Holday Inn temple of heaven and was a comfortable stay. I won’t recommend this hotel and it’s service if you want to stay comfortably and with cleanliness being your highest priority.

Breakfast buffet was awesome! Staff was super friendly and helpful - I had a light bulb go out in the bathroom and they had it fixed 10 minutes after I reported it. House keeping was fast, unobtrusive, & kept the place spotless. The free & fresh coffee in the lobby was a nice touch for sure. I don't speak Chinese & the staff would help me out with translation. Overall great experience - thank you!

Good location, convenient. Breakfast doesn't have too much options of western foods, also was crowdy and we have to wait.

Nice and hospitality

The hotel was on western standard for the rooms. They gave tresemme brand for bathroom soaps. Price and location is reasonable. Breakfast could be improved by adding a chef to make scramble eggs and half boiled eggs.

Had a great time . Room and property was clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating . Great location. Sunny was fantastic and was very helpful during check-in.
