The hotel is located pretty much at the entrance of Gubei Watertown. It is not quite a hotel, it’s more like an airbnb.
We couldn’t find the front desk so we had to call to service. He picked us up where we were standing and walked us to the room. If you don’t speak Chinese you may try to use WeChat and chat with them.
The room was a 2 floors apar**ent, with a little balcony with view to the Great Wall. It is a pretty standard room.
Advice to bring your shampoo and soap, the products in the shower were smelling super bad.
Around the building there are some food options and also a little grocery store.

Communication with the owner was excellent via WeChat and all my questions were answered very quickly. I was kindly given a room upgrade and it was lovely and big and comfortable. It was very bright with an excellent view and you can see clearly see the Great Wall lights at night. There is a convenience store downstairs for anything you need. The entrance to Gubei Water town is only a few minutes walk so it is very convenient. The shower, Wi-Fi and air con all worked great. The bed is a little hard but normal for Asia and I am happy with it. I was very satisfied with a my 2 night stay.

The room is very close to the Gubeikou scenic area, it is spacious and clean. The view from the balcony is excellent as you can see the Simatai great wall clearly, excellent for taking photos.
The hotel receptionist picked me up and he was very kind and helpful. Definitely recommend it!

The boss was super enthusiastic and welcoming, answered all my questions and helped me with many things. The facilities are also very good, the room is right at the entrance of Gubei ancient town, very convenient. I will definitely come back to this hotel next time I visit Gubei.

Cozy and simple furnishings, but perfect for our stay. Next to the ancient village, has a kitchen if you want to make food and dogs allowed! Great views of the Great Wall from the balcony

We stayed for a night for the night tour at Simatai Great Wall. The host was very kind to give us a free upgrade to the balcony room. I did not notice to add the host's WeChat prior to checking in, but the residents in the area were all very kind and helpful to help me get in contact with the host and complete the checkin process. Highly recommend this homestay if you're in Gubei Water Town!

Friendly host and location is right outside of the Gu Bei Water Town. Room is studio type, fully furnished with washing machine and kitchen. Only thing is the room is a smoking room.
