I needed to reserve a handicapped room with a walk in shower for my elderly parents. When I contacted Holiday Inn reservations they stated they could accommodate my needs. When I checked in the desk attendant stated that it is Holiday Inn policy that they cannot guarantee a handicapped room - that they can only put in a request and accommodate only on availability at check-in. At first they provided a room with a tub, then they manager stated that the best they could change to was a walk in shower with no safety bars. We took the room. Also at reservation time, I was quoted a rate of $119 per night. When I received the bill, the hotel raised the rate to $149 for the second night and $154 the third night. I didn't read the fine print when I signed for the room as I only saw $119 in the block and didn't read the fine print. This is my fault, but I feel that the check in clerk should make this clear to the customer. I feel like I was taken advantage of and really didn't get what I asked for in the end.

At first they provided a room with a tub, then they manager stated that the best they could change to was a walk in shower with no safety bars. We took the room. Also at reservation time, I was quoted a rate of $119 per night. When I received the bill, the hotel raised the rate to $149 for the second night and $154 the third night. I didn't read the fine print when I signed for the room as I only saw $119 in the block and didn't read the fine print. This is my fault, but I feel that the check in clerk should make this clear to the customer. I feel like I was taken advantage of and really didn't get what I asked for in the end.
